  1. I think this only applies to borderline players. If an outstanding prospect emerges he'll be picked. Robertson being one example and Tierney about to follow. I remember McStay making his debut at 18. Just think of the players he was keeping out of the team, Strachan included.
  2. Not when he scored it, I was going mental.
  3. Three if you count Burt scoring for our u17s v Iceland. Seemingly the most promising young player at Rangers.
  4. Agree with all of the above. I see the highly rated Charlie Gilmour of Arsenal is turning out for our u17s tonight after a brief defection to England. Welcome back.
  5. McGinn will be Scotland captain one day. Murphy is worth a call up. Pace up front is essential and his game suits the counter attack.
  6. The Hearts lads are good, but Forrest was our best player against Poland at home. He seems to have fitness problems but if he could play week in week out, he'd quickly sort out his form. We need players with pace.
  7. Huddersfield wanted him on loan in January and didn't get him. Any talk of a transfer is rubbish. The Portugese second division is at least competitive football and better than reserve or u20 football. Next season things need to change, however.
  8. It's unlikely to be at Huddersfield. He is playing competitive football at the moment, incidentally.
  9. The Premiership doesn't necessarily prepare players for International football even though it's players are of a high standard. England continually under achieve at that level and it's probably a lot to do with the 100 mile an hour stuff on offer in that league.
  10. ...and yet Strachan says he was born to play international football. He was dropped because he wasn't playing for his club.
  11. I still think him and McGinn will be our future central midfield.
  12. Fletcher is a natural footballer with an all round game. He's not really a risk, unlike an out and out goal scorer from a lower league.
  13. I've nothing against Rhodes and if we had nine better outfield players I'm sure he'd play more. As it is, Fletcher at Marseilles seems a better option.
  14. Well, terrific by Scottish standards and probably the most likely not to look out of place amongst really good players by other nations standards. I think he'll do well in France and Scotland will see the benefit.
  15. Mo Johnston's level skyrocketed when he played there. Fletcher is a terrific player, albeit not a prolific goal scorer. He'd do well in any league provided a manager knew how to play him.
  16. The Cardiff manager wanted to sign him on a permanent deal but they've just been hit with a transfer embargo and he had to return to his parent club, Charlton. I think he may indeed be a bit of a bam, but he has the talent to be a terrific player. Pace, power and a natural finisher. It's up to him.
  17. I didn't realise he was black, sorry for the confusion...
  18. You rightly flag up bigotry, but are happy to endorse English-born players turning out for Scotland as "c##ts". Charming.
  19. Robertson is probably our best crosser though, and his defensive qualities and pace should make us harder to beat. I like Fraser though and he should be in the squad for the next campaign. Tierney straight in at left back.
