Despite all negativity and doubts better together want us to believe, will our Scottish resilience see us over the line? I will admit to having little contribution to the campaign as such due to living abroad, but I for one have always made a point of telling people i am Scottish before I am British! I can only hope everyones efforts on the yes side will pay off and after Friday we will at last be finally be able to truly call ourselves Scottish without the automatic shackle of being called British! I sincerely wish I had a vote, but I like many others will just have to sit and wait and rely on those back home putting their cross in the yes box!

Absolutely, I too am an expat, and like you say it is inspirational and swells your chest with pride to see the coming together as one voice the people of Scotland to say no more to being run by Westminster, that comes from confidence and self belief, and that comes down to the efforts of all you footsoldiers doing your bit instilling that self belief and confidence into people that we can do this!

I remember the fountain, and hailing from the Borders originally, I recall my wee brother spotting someone he knew dancing happily in the fountain soapsuds after a fair few sherbets commenting "feckin St Boswells TA, ye cannae take them anywhere" I also recall being a German speaker chatting up some German policewoman to try to get her to take pity on us and give us a lift to the ground in her nice shiny green and white van!
