  1. OK. Just to be clear. This isn't a silly argument (actually, it probably is), but if you make a silly comment in a public forum, blaming others for your mistake, then you can expect someone to try and correct you. Also for the record, I'm not interested in trolling or arguing. It just gets my goat when people blame others for their own failings. Good luck with getting tickets and enjoy the game.
  2. My guess is around 2500 left. West is now sold out.
  3. Because the way they have done it has actually been pretty fair, in my (and others) opinion. As a paying SSC member you were guaranteed a ticket. Season ticket holders, after shelling out a heap of cash, were promised first dibs on extra tickets. A fair deal as a sign of loyalty. This was made clear when the season tickets went on sale. Then guess what? You had Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and part of Sunday to buy tickets for you and your wife. Say you were working away without Internet or phone access. Say you were on a campsite for a week, with no mobile signal. Even then, you must have known that there was likely to be an opportunity coming up soon, for you to buy tickets, given how the sales were going. What I don't think you can do is blame the SFA.
  4. I know this doesn't help you now it is a sell out, but in the SFA's defence you had a pretty large window, from Tuesday last week until yesterday, to buy tickets.

  6. In total, or 2 x 10,000? Certainly doesn't look like there's anywhere near that left on the Germany stadium plan, unless they just held back from releasing some sections.
  7. 3 of us in Faro on match day. No idea what it's like, but as long as the beer is cold...
  8. A little surge on the Germany game. 2 of the blue sections in the East are now green.
  9. By the way, I expect that we will get as many tickets as we need. If we officially only get 9800 tickets (same as Ireland) then... If 100% of SSC members buy a ticket (not going to happen), all 2-10 pointers will get a ticket. 1 pointers would then have a 1 in 4 chance of getting a ticket. If 60% of all members want a ticket, almost all 1 pointers would be fine. Unsurprisingly, zero pointers (17,320) make up the largest majority of the SSC, but that also in theory means that they are less likely to travel. However, I also suspect that the location for this game means that it will attract a different group of fans, on top of the usual suspects. By that I mean the fans who don't normally travel, but have a pass because they have been able to make it a family holiday. Or just people turning this into their annual holiday full stop. That's what makes the demand for this game hard to gauge (other than reading comments on here).
  10. Yeah, I don't quite understand why they are selling "away" tickets directly, especially when we can't get them via the SSC yet. Obviously it goes on through unofficial means, but has anyone seen the likes before? I haven't.
  11. I have been there in the past (when just starting out in he SSC) - It is a horrible feeling knowing that you have paid all that money to travel to an away game, but will not get the point to help with future games.
  12. No worries. I am just impresssed that you have got to grips with this post-Stone Age techology at all. How are Betty and Bamm-Bamm?
  13. It didn't slip under the radar: http://tartanarmyboard.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=5210&page=9
  14. Cheers. You're right, he's just a blogger. I am still confident that anyone who wants an official away ticket will get one. Did the FAI do a poll with the fans, to see how many plan on going?
  15. Not sure why they would set £200 as the limit. Standard 1st class (63p) has no cover for loss or damage. To include insurance you have the choice of 2 services with Royal Mail: Signed For, which is £1.73 (1st class) or £1.64 (2nd class), or Special Delivery which is £6.45. Signed For only covers up to £50 for loss or damage. Special Delivery covers for up to £500.
  16. They have approx 5000 in their own stand, plus the mixed zone. However I followed that up with the GFA, as per above: I asked the Gibraltar FA if they would open another stand for their Ireland game, should demand require it. They replied to say they wouldn't see why not.
  17. They also said 3 goals were still required when it was 1-2. Not the case.
  18. You still beat RedTV to it. Meant a was was feeling relieved around 10 seconds earlier.
  19. I genuinely think you will be absolutely fine, even with zero points. You get a lot of travelling fans that aren't in the SSC, as crazy as that seems. I asked the Gibraltar FA if they would open another stand for their Ireland game, should demand require it. They replied to say they wouldn't see why not. I am on 5 points, so defo fine, but thought I'd ask on behalf of mates who are on less.
  20. Wales Switzerland Scotland Israel Belarus You'd take that!
  21. Absolutely. There's no reason why we can't add McFadden injuring his knee, at Birmingham's training ground, to the many wrongdoings by Levein.
