  1. Not necessarily, Adam is playing at a higher level than a lot of the squad and can't get a call up. From what I've seen of Richie I don't think he warranted being fast tracked into the squad ahead of other players.
  2. Nobody outside of Scotland would entertain the idea that Gordon was world class.
  3. Polands gamesmanship was really evident in that second half. Not good to watch as a neutral
  4. The header was one and the other I remember was the deflected cross, not really a chance per say. Coleman had a half chance as well. Ireland played better in the second half, how much was it because Poland were poor I don't know. Draw was a fair result.
  5. The header aside I don't think yous created many clear cut chances.
  6. This. I think at any given time there's only a dozen or so players who I would consider world class
  7. If you're looking at it from an Ireland perspective - Scotland (h), Gilbraltar (a) and Georgia (h) is a right good chance to get 9 points.
  8. Don't agree with the 90 minute hard man persona, certainly not for Scotland which is pretty much all I care about. Browns happy at Celtic and plays well for us, like I said he's been an important player for us, especially when Fletch was out ill. Fletch's club career will always be more impressive than most of our squad.
  9. Think that's football fans in general Reading the guardians comments for the Ireland game "why did Keane start ahead of Long" is a general theme, when after their game against us it was the exact opposite. The phrase you're only as good as your last game seems to be a common theme.
  10. May come back to haunt is but can't see us losing in Georgia. Otherwise it's hard to predict. Could easily get 6 points from Ireland and Poland, or 0. Looking forward to june already
  11. - quit alcohol - eat a healthy balanced diet - try and sleep from 10 every night - exercise daily - try and do one thing a day that makes you happy - don't be too hard on yourself, some days will be harder than others - talk to family and loved ones Good mental health is something that we all need to practice. If you can't do the above or its a struggle then your depression might be at a level that you need to talk to a professional.
  12. To be fair to Fletcher between 2008 and 2011 he played in the vast majority of Uniteds games. It's a shame that his illness came about them because he was arguably reaching his peak and an important player for them. Agree with your definition of world class. It's a stretch to even consider Fletch as world class.
  13. Was different here, they all watched the game and reacted normally to what was happening on the park. Made a racket for the whole game.
  14. I went to an Asian cup game involving Japan, full of young girls and guys that didn't look like your typical football crowd and they sang, cheered and booed the other team for 90 mins. More entertaining that the game. The home atmosphere hasn't been the same since the Euro 2008 campaign ended.
  15. You're hoping we can count on 6 more points from Georgia and Gibraltar . . . . 9 more available. Will 4 be enough from them? We've came along way that half way we are probably disappointed not to get a point in Germany
  16. Brown will play in Dublin. Poor today but isolated performance I'm sure
  17. I felt that two holding midfielders against NI was unnecessary and would be similar against Gibraltar, although brown is more attacking that mcarthur so maybe it would have worked. Might not have lost that goal if Fletch was on.
  18. I could see why Fletcher didn't play. We didn't need two holding midfielders. Also don't see Morrison as a creative midfielder. More of a box to box type midfielder.
