Well done on the EMF marathon guys. I only did the half this year. The route for the full thing is soul destroying when you see everyone heading back the other way. On the subject of doing lots of marathons. We met a couple in budapest when we were en route to the Slovakia game last October who had just done the marathon there. They done over 400! I guess he doesn't need to train though. Just does one every other week.

Finish area was a bit of a farce. Loops at the end weren't great. Enjoyed the first half and running through centre of Stirling. I'm sure they'll make tweaks to improve it. Anyone doing EMF this weekend?

Niagara is a shitehole. Niagara on the lake is nice but not sure I'd want two nights there. We just did a day trip from Toronto, which was fine imo. A Maple Leafs game and the hockey hall of fame worth a visit.

Plans so far..... April - Paris marathon May - Stirling marathon Hopefully manage either 10k or half in the EMF and some other 10ks and halfs throughout the year.

Loch Rannoch Marathon on Sunday there and another 5 mins off my PB. Down to 3.42 ?

Cheers, I'll have a look into that. If if you're looking for somewhere closer to home next year, Loch Ness is braw. Certainly preferred it to the current Edinburgh route. Great PB potential as well.

Classic example of why a ballot would be better!

The Slovenia v Slovakia game on the Saturday will be interesting. A draw there prob suit best. Hopefully mean going into our game with Slovakia 5 points ahead. Any sort of result for us there under those circumstances would make it tough for Slovakia.

I don't understand why they did away with it for the current system. Surely easier to manage.

I'd give him the start of the campaign. Re-assess after the England game, when we'll have some time to make an appointment and the next game would be Malta at home. We must have a minimum of 6 points by then. Imo anything more is a bonus for 2nd place.

First time in 16 years there's been a total wash out. Would be the day I had tickets for. Here again today and not looking good. Managed to get tickets for tomorrow so fingers crossed get to see the Gasguet match

I got the season ticket, for 2014/15. £130 for 5 games. Other than the fact rugby is pish compared to football, much better value.

Yes. With the German efficiency there were certainly no issues getting our bags back at the end. For a spring marathon I loved Rome and Barcelona and preferred them. The locals don't get behind it as much as the Germans did though. Hamburg definitely a good option for when the Nae luck magazine drops through the door from London, which is when we booked.

Hamburg marathon yesterday. Well organised, good crowds out to support and decent weather. No a bad medal as well. And a PB for the wife :-)
