  1. Looks like Scotland does have higher infection levels
  2. I was listening to one of the experts (can't recall who) who suggested it mighty in fact be worse with the vacuum it would leave but who knows.
  3. You don’t seem to realise that you are actually backing up what I am saying 🤨
  4. If you want to keep missing the point crack on.
  5. No it didn't. Pretty sure I mentioned the demos. Not sure why that stoops people helping someone who looked dead in a car accident to be honest
  6. If you have blacked out then I am struggling to see how a man can believe you have consented!
  7. I haven't heard Simon so should maybe try to check him out
  8. The thing was it wasn't just the football. There was stuff going on with demos and even in pubs and restaurants it felt cold. I have experienced the football based hostility in other places but this was different. It was a long time ago however and only once so I am not going to judge an entire country on it, it was just an observation really.
  9. You reckon? I just don't see that outcome but who knows.
  10. I totally agree with this. The "best" Ukraine can hope for is that Russia doesn't win because they are never going to lose. And not winning just means years of destruction and death. Ukraine cannot win as far as I can see. This whole thing of arming everyone who wants it is sheer suicide and just creating cannon folder. If NATO become involved then the risks to Europe and indeed the planet don't bear thinking about. I just cannot see a good outcome from this whatever we do.
  11. We had over 9000 cases today so if that is half hearted…..
  12. From what I can tell (given the UK portal is no longer showing the daily numbers on the dashboard) Scotland now has around 20% of the UK cases which seem a bit unbelievable
  13. The ones I feel the most sorry for are the Syrians who fled to Ukraine and are now having to flee again.
  14. Who are they exactly? I don’t see anyone in this category
  15. One incident really stands out. We were in a minibus and witnessed a jeep going through a junction at traffic lights hitting another car and totally flipping over, landing on its wheels. The driver was half thrown out of his window and was hanging out, not moving. Not one person went to see if he was ok. I was convinced he was dead but the cars just kept going with some honking their horns at him Then a group of guys in kilts ran into the middle of the road to check on him and we then saw him moving. I was totally gobsmacked that no one seemed to care expect some fellow Scots this experience has stuck with me ever since.
  16. The thing is it was more than just that incident. It was a general feeling. It wasn’t what I expected or felt anywhere else really and it wasn’t a political feeling. As I said I don’t really know why.
  17. I am sure some people are genuinely saying it how they believe it to be. That doesn’t mean they are right. I don’t know enough about Ukraine. The only thing I know for sure is that it was the country I felt least welcome in. I have no clue why though. But I feel so very sorry for people of Ukraine and this war will just cause more and more suffering to ordinary people in many countries. It’s like we are never going to see light again.
  18. I am not saying everyone is lying what I am saying is how does anyone actually know the truth?
  19. Which only goes to support my point about the importance of communication.
  20. Are you really saying we should just believe everything we are told by our media and government etc
  21. I am convinced it is deliberate too. Communication is a hugely important tool and when it is incoherent it only adds to the difficulties of getting to the truth
