  1. Just saw the Southampton goals yesterday. People here were attributing two assists to Armstrong. lol. One of the "assists" was a brush off one of his hairs, the next "assist" was when he hit the post, and Redmond knocked it in. It was barely one assist.
  2. Really? McBurnie's value jumped a whopping £17m with one good season in the Championship. I think we all know that several players got a big move on the back of a good World Cup/European Championship: Poborsky, Nedved, Berger, Diouf, Salenko, Arshavin, James Rodrigues, Jensen, Collins. Didn't Platt and Gascoigne move to Serie A after Italia 90? I'm not sure why people are feeling personally attacked by the Armstrong thing. He's hopeless.
  3. Hopefully. Not that I want Jack to pull out, but it is what it is. That's disappointing. Knowing Clarke, Christie will probably start against Austria.
  4. I'm not sure Clarke is brave enough to play a midfielder as a wingback.
  5. Really? Just hope Celtic appoint a top manager, that's the only way that Christie, etc, will develop. A manager should show loyalty and keep a certain consistency, but there's no reason why Gauld, Gilmour or even Turnbull missed out on the correct squad. The commentators are loving Gilmour. Steve Wilson: "He just has it", and Martin Keown: "He's a bit special". Steve Clarke missed a trick. Gilmour, or even one of the aforementioned names, should've been in the squad.
  6. Huge problem. It might actually force Clarke's hand to play McTominay in midfield, but then again, McTominay can have ball-watching lapses where he lets the opposition do something. Jack Is really the only one that I trust to properly anchor the midfield. McCrorie must really be out of the picture if he's not even being considered.
  7. Odds are there'll only be three players from the current squad: McGregor, Taylor and Christie. (Scottish football fans treat the Old Firm matches like Americans treat the Superbowl (Even the neutrals watch it) It's strange to me)
  8. Took one click of a button. It was hardly a trek to Mordor. So, you can't directly quote an alleged "thick" comment and/or opinion? Or was it just a throwaway line for psychological warfare? If no. Bad job. Anyway, enough trolling. This Is a Che Adams thread. Get on topic or get out, respectfully.
  9. From the man who brought you: You're aff your heid if you think jack is ahead of bridcutt. Crazy Good football knowledge, NPS.
  10. Alright. I'll bite, just this once. (You're welcome) Which of my opinions do you seem to be devoid of intelligence? Don't cop out by saying "all of them", or a variant of same. Bearing in mind, if you avoid my question you're basically retracting the aforementioned comment and embarrassing yourself in front of the gallery. Avoid the question and the statute of limitations of my giving you my attention will expire. And Soccer? Yeah. I'm in Hamilton, Scotland... not Canada. So... no. And you have a short memory, didn't the mob used to call you "Non Proud Scot"? If you can't beat them, eh?
  11. Two FA Cup matches are on BBC1 today. Chelsea Vs Sheffield United (13:30) Leicester City Vs Manchester United (17:00) With potentially 5 Scotland players on show. Not bad. Then there's Tierney and McGinn playing in the EPL. Then Hendry. No idea when the Old Firm match is on. Zero interest.
  12. He can and would probably be better than Greg Taylor. Years ago, when I suggested playing players "out of position", I got roundly mocked. Nowadays it's fashionable. Same goes with the current formation. Just shows that you can only learn by staying quiet. Is Jack definitely out of the first match? Playing Hendry as the one anchoring the midfield, with McGinn and McTominay with freedom, could decide the match. Yeah, it'll be a shadow Austria team, but when do Scotland go by the script?
  13. It does, but any striker can hit a purple patch. I've watched Adams for years, he's not a great goalscorer, but he is a striker of great goals. In five seasons, he's only scored more that 7 goals in a season, once. Bearing in mind, for 3 of those seasons he was in the Championship. Hopefully he has a change of heart and listens to his heart, opposed to his agent.
  14. I watched him a lot for the Manchester United u21s and he looked like a new incarnation of Roy Keane. But as you said, some bad loans moves have stunted his development. Payers develop af different rates. If Hamilton matures, he'll be a fantastic player. Fingers crossed he does.
  15. It would be. I also think he could be an anchorman. I've noticed Reading have played Tom McIntyre in that position in their previous three matches. Yeah, probably, if it means that McTominay is in midfield then I'd take that.
  16. Adams has scored 7 goals in his last 33 domestic matches. If he starts, or if he's even on the bench, there's a possible chance that I'll chuck it and not post here again. He has nailed his colours to the mast, several times in the past four years. His slate is coloured by the St George's cross.
  17. It's be at least three matches to potentially increase his value and put himself in the shop window. His agent probably gave him the push to play for us. Southampton are a selling club. Always has been. I doubt anyone of note is going to buy Adams or Armstrong. They're hardly Shearer and Bale. If they keep up for their form, they could go down this season. Which isn't a surprise with a striker (Adams) who can't score and a midfielder (Armstrong) often struggling to distinguish between friend and foe.
  18. Yep. The masses going into a state of flux when the minority control the narrative and then proceed to pile on and, dare I say, side-attack. It's always funny when the minority wins, though.
  19. Neither of them should be our first choice RWB. Hendry, with his passing, height, mobility and defensive abilities would be my choice.
  20. Third worst player for Southampton vs Championship Bournemouth. Not great. If people think Che Adams will make us better, he won't. Dykes has never let us down and he's far better than Dykes is in the air. For me, there's no question that Dykes should be our main striker.
  21. You know why I don't side attack you? You know why I never have or never will? I just don't care enough about you. It's really that cut and dry. Over the years I've beaten you from every single conceivable angle. Easily. You know it and I know it. That's why you keep side-attacking me. It's time for you to move on and get yourself an easier mark. Anyway. This thread is about Che Adams. I'm not bestowing upon you any more of my time. This part of the forum is about football, not about people who are unable to shake off petty, sophmoric grudges dating years. "These aren't the droids you're looking for" PS. My PM is always open, if you ever put on your big boy clothes.
  22. Suspended? For what? For breaking the rules and being verbally abusive? Ah. So, you can side-attack me on here, on a daily basis, but you can't initiate PM contact? Why is that? In the subject of side-attacking and piling on. I've not once did that to you. It's obvious that you have a bee in your bonnet about something, but I assure you, this grudge you got going is just going in one direction.
  23. More emoticons? Nice. Has it become a habit? Only me and you? Hardly. PM me, then it'll be 1 vs 1. Or shall I? What, like you got banned about a week ago?
  24. Exactly. With some people it's black and white. (No pun intended You can condemn and also forgive at the same time. The majority of people hold grudges forever and cast up comments or actions, against people, for the rest of their natural lives. It's more of a self reflection than anything else. Just because the accusers aren't able to mature and grow and learn from their mistakes, they think no one else can. It's a strange way to live. Like the people that got James Gunn fired from Guardians of the Galaxy 3, for tweeting off colour humour, in his formative years. Like I said, strange.
  25. Using emoticons excessively? Got into the habit, have we? The mask has slipped on the identity of the emoji bomber. Also, whilst I'm here. All this comment bombing me by referring to me in the third person, in random threads, Is jarring. If you have something to say to me, say it to me. All this third person (and emoji) nonsense is you just itching for collaborators. 1 vs 1 isn't your style, it would appear.
