  1. When? I had him at RWB when I picked my XI team for the Austria match. https://www.tamb.net/forum/index.php?/topic/15921-your-first-xi-vs-austria-assuming-theres-no-call-offs/&do=findComment&comment=637778 I didn't read your post. But if you suggested it, too, then I agree.
  2. My 46th and final edit... Marshall McKenna - Gallagher - Hanley Hendry Robertson McGregor - Tierney McGinn McTominay - Christie (Hendry has the pace, defensive abilities, the passing and physicality to be a good RWB. Tierney, in lieu of Jack, is in there because of his defensive abilities. He's as hard as nails. And he oozes class. McTominay up top because of his physicality, acceleration, dribbling. He is class. And, the main one, he is by far and away our best finisher. The position isn't new to him, either, as he played there a lot for Manchester United u23s)
  3. Adams has only scored 4 more career EPL goals than the much maligned Oliver McBurnie. In terms of scoring goals, their career totals seem to mirror each other. Neither are good in front of goal.
  4. Ok. That's the one main difference. It would be nice to have a natural goalscorer, though. I still maintain that McTominay is the best finisher we have. With his dribbling, pace, physicality and finishing, it would be interesting to see him up top.
  5. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/che-adams-scotland-start-beckons-23807277 Great. Didn't take long for Adams to be at the front of the queue for our strikers. He must've been promised to be our number one striker at Euro 2020. That probably what made him decide to play for Scotland. In my opinion, Dykes Is our number 1, McBurmie is number 2 (no poop jokes) and you could make a case of Adams being number 3. Dykes has never let Scotland down. In the previous match, while not having a great match, he still set up two chances, including a great one for Christie. McBurnie and Adams are at the same level, finishing wise. McBurnie is only ahead because of his service at under 21 level, and full level.
  6. Yeah. I was thinking that, but when you think of it, Robertson and Tierney could easily play on the wing for club or country, on in midfield. Is it my imagination or was it 3-4-3 last night? I think it was. Having two inside forwards is one of the reasons why we were outnumbered in midfield. I wouldn't be too bothered if it was the same XI.. with one alteration, McGregor coming in for Armstrong. But with two up front. I hope Dyke starts, as Adams isn't a threat in the air. I just want 3 points as it 4 from the first two games would be great. Then hopefully 7 come next week.
  7. Chances are that I'll make at least three more edits. For som reason I'm not comfortable playing Gallagher... and yet I am. He was outstanding last season, despite not being a big name.
  8. What, by saying that we'll beat Israel I have no faith? You do know what a joke is, right? Translation: We always defy expectations, both ways.
  9. Well.. knowng how we do things, we'll beat Israel and lose to the Faroes.
  10. Marshall McKenna - Gallagher - Hanley Hendry Robertson McTominay - Tierney McGinn Dykes - Christie (To the emoji bomber: Thanks for making me third most popular TAMBer of all time! Definitely not leaving now. Thanks)
  11. It's all a headache for Clarke, but that's why he's paid the SFA pennies. Yeah. Agreed. It is a must win. All the matches against the teams other than Austria and Denmark, are. If we could get at least 6 points against those two, and pretty much maximum from the rest, we'll be in with a chance. If.
  12. lol I don't doubt it. 😛
  13. Can't argue with that. It's no secret that I feel deeply aggrieved that Che Adams is even a part of the squad. I don't like it, and yeah, fine, perhaps I'm judging him too harshly, on what, 27 minutes? Maybe. But have you not considered that I've seen him for two years struggling for Southampton? I have. And he has. He's no better than McBurnie. Will I give him a chance? Yes. I hope he makes me eat my words. If he does then I'll be the first to hold my hands up. As for the last part of your post. If people don't take my opinion seriously, fair enough. However, there's a way to disagree without throwing insults and abuse around.
  14. You can. I think you have a time limit of about ten minutes to edit. Edit: You're welcome.
  15. I suggested Robertson or Tierney as an anchorman. You can imagine how that went down. 😛 Tierney playing beside McTominay would be interesting. Tierney has got a brilliant engine on him, and he could pretty much play anywhere.
  16. It's not. I backed up my reasoning. He made three successful passes in out of 6. Am I willing to give him a chance? I have no choice. He's certainly going to be judged by the standards that I judge other Scotland players. I also said that Dykes had a bad first half, which he did. I love Dykes. People may not like my opinion, but one thing you can count on is honesty from me. I say it as I see it. I don't sugarcoat anything. Do I want Adams to convince me that he's a good player? Yes. I hope he scores a hat trick against Israel just to prove me wrong.
  17. Christie is another one that I've grown to be fond of. He clearly loves playing for Scotland and has tons of ability. Just needs a good club manager to bring it out again. Hopefully he moves in the summer.
  18. And the overlapping centerbacks that Sheffield United introduced. First time I've seen us deploying it. It was a brave move against a good team. Might be a way of getting Tierney up the park and engaging with Robertson. (I really wish supposed Scotland fans would stop criticising their fellow supporters)
  19. People are being too harsh on Dykes. Fine. First half he was bad, but he did improve in the 2nd. Setting up two good chances isn't a bad return. Adams was abysmal. 24 minutes. 3 accurate passes (50% success). Lost 100% of his 5 duels, both in the air and on the ground. Armstrong, statistically the worst outfield player who started. Missed a sitter... using his weaker foot (his left, for people who are obsessed with that kinda stuff) when using his right would've made sense in two ways: it's his strongest foot and the angle called for a right footed shot. Armstrong is going to be a lawyer when he retires? Hopefully he has more brains in the courtroom, as on the park he is brainless.
  20. Ah. No, he wasn't on commentary. He said it on the highlight coverage on ITV.
  21. Did McCoist also say that I'm boring but changed his mind when he realised i was right footed?
  22. Why not? More mobility and a far better player. Oh wait, were you one of those people that suggested that we shouldn't/would never play with a back three? Maybe you should've read one of my manyyyyyy threads/posts on the subject, as you'd know what's needed as a wingback.
  23. Yeah. It's too soon for Patterson. The RWB spot is an issue. We do seem lopsided I'd rather have McGregor at RWB than O'Donnell.
