  1. My opinion of Che Adams is entirely based on what he's done on the football pitch. I have yet to see him doing anything remarkable. In 3 years of watching him. Yes, he has a bit of pace, but that's pretty much it. He's only had one season were he's hit double figures. There's a reason for that. If he was the next Michael Owen or Romario, I'd take to him, instantly. But the truth is that he was probably England's 20th choice striker.
  2. I like him, three. Yep. "Kenny Misser", anyone? Notice they're all strikers. All of those names would've been a lot more effective playing with a strike partner. Opportunity wasted.
  3. Funny how you don't have a funny quip for Return of Yermaw for mocking your mistake in the other thread, isn't it? Sheep. In more ways than one.
  4. Having a different opinion doesnt automatically equate to "being on the wind up". Once upon a time I suggested in this place that we play a back three. Apparently, I was on the "wind up". How did that work out? McBurnie would be higher on my list than Adams. Without question.
  5. Dykes played 24 minutes. Shinnie should've been in the squad.
  6. Oh. I'm being objective. I've watched him enough to know if he's a player or not. He is not.
  7. Yeah. There was a time when I was pilloried in this place for my insistence that we play with a back three... that only lasted years. But yeah, I agree. We need a terrier in midfield, someone who is proactive and doesnt stand around ball watching, allowing the opposition time on the ball. It happed more than a dozen times in the past three matches. We're lucky it only resulted in three goals.
  8. Yeah. That makes the world of sense. The person, or persons that are doing it, are doing it with the expressed intentions of driving me away. Luckily In this place (unlike P&B), negative emojis add up to a positive count. So whoever's is doing it isn't doing a good job. Hell, that's one reason I'm still posting. Irony is fun. And by the way, you two are suspects. Can't go a day without stalking me.
  9. And Adams can? There was a moment in the match where someone crossed the ball from the right, Adams stuck his leg out to control it, only for the ball to go go out for a goal kick. I'm tempted to download the match and cut out a highlight reel of Adams's screw ups.
  10. How about the last 4? 😛 Ah. Apologizes. Though you were talking about McBurnie.
  11. Absolutely 100% correct. Nothing further to add.
  12. I would rather have stuck with McBurnie (who had shown patriotism by playing for our u19 and u21) to a mercenary.
  13. Last season Oliver McBurnie scored 6 EPL goals against: Leicester, Manchester United, Brighton, West Ham, Tottenham, Chelsea. (Not bad opposition) None of them were penalties. Sharp and Norwood are the Sheffield United penalty takers. That haul cannot be discounted.
  14. 1 win in 12? They're two bad results/Fullham having two good results, from being one point above the relegation zone. Well, with the dross that we puld potentially meet (Gibraltar, San Marino) even the worst strikers can fill their boots. There's even a chance he could retire from international duty after Euro 2020.
  15. On current form, Southampton are a Championship team. I don't bet.
  16. I suggest you re-read my post and not allow the red mist to cloud your view. My point was both defensively as well as offensively. And the fact that we had the ball either side of the park would suggest that the midfield three simply cannot control play and dictate tempo. And the ball watching from midfield, if we do that against Austria and Denmark, not to mention Euro 2020. We will lose. We're playing with three center backs, there is no reason at all for our midfielders not to press high up.
  17. The difference is incremental. It is admirable. I may not be his biggest fan/ but respect the fact that he has been dedicated to us.
  18. Personally, I'll get behind him. No other choice but to. I would be surprised if he gets into double figures for us, though.
  19. People can criticize McBurnie all they like, but he's been dedicated to our cause all the way from U19 and U21 level. He's been playing for us for 7 years. Now Adams comes along and pushes him down the queue. It's unfair. It would be understandable if Adams was the next Messi, but he clearly Is not.
