  1. Yeah. He's smart enough to see that it was a typo.
  2. So you want to play Hanley upfront? Cool.
  3. I think Dykes would give Maguire a torrid time. I like the one striker and one number 10 dynamic. That being the case, Adams cannot be relied upon. I'm not sure what information people here have got, but I assure you, Adams cannot score.
  4. He wasn't trying to obliterate the entire structure of English football. He was merely a benefactor, much in the way that Jack Walker was at Blackburn. No rules against that If you're going to aim your daggers at him, fine, go for the Old Firm. Go for Chelsea, Man City, Man United, Liverpool, etc.
  5. It does? Well, statitusts can be tenuous. I mean, let's say that Harry Kane was going up against dwarves and munchins. His stats would most probably be 100% success rate. Stats can sometimes be misleading. So, it's usyeally best to watch 90 minutes rather than use statistics. See above. The EPL isn't what it once was. It is more continental than it used to be. Take the leading striker in the EPL, Harry Kane, I don't think I've ever seen him ever win a header as he isn't that type of striker. Neither is Firminho, Salah, Mane, Aquero, Vardy, etc. Wheelbase? You mean "wheelhouse"? As I said, Harry Maguire is far better in the ground than he is in the air. I don't dislike him as a human being. As a player? He's a Championship player.
  6. Yeah. It happened a few times. Schmeichel was world class but he wasn't perfect.
  7. It would be interesting seeing an England C team, though.
  8. In case anyone is confused by the previous comment. Gary Neville is AGAINST the idea. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/news.sky.com/story/amp/european-super-league-plans-ex-man-utd-star-gary-neville-calls-for-points-deduction-for-clubs-12279693 He's disgusted at Manchester United. Wow. Those are tough words from a United legend.
  9. He means if this mooted European Super League is given the green light. I doubt it will go ahead as Fifa would pretty much bab every single player that participates.
  10. The variable? Going up against teams that have aerial threats. A lot of teams don't. When he goes up against tall strikers, more times than not, he loses the duel. Imaging him going up against the linked of Joe Jordan, Mark Hately and Duncan Ferguson. He'd get destroyed. Which is why it's the best idea to start with Dykes.
  11. We have 6 players on the 18 yard line and one player hovering around the 25 yar line. It's not exactly an equal distribution. It should be 5 on the 18 yard line and 2 on the 24 yard line. At least give the defenders and the keeper SOME protection.
  12. Can you image a keeper like Peter Schmeichel's reaction if his midfield allowed those shots and crosses? Can you imagine the likes of Roy Keane allowing it? Not likely.
  13. Oliver McBurnie: Matches - 190 - Scored - 55 (1 goal every 3.4 matches) Che Adams: Matches - 247 - Scored - 64 (1 goal every 3.8 matches) I'm not sure why people have this misconception that Che Adams has a much better goal record than McBurnie.
  14. 4 aerial duels, won 0% would suggest otherwise. His biggest assets is tackling and general ground duels. I take a lot if interest in Manchester United. Him and Lindelof are constantly being bullied in the air.
  15. Harry Maguire had four aerial duels today against the might of Burnley. He lost them all. Including the Burnley goal. He isn't exactly Jaap Stam or Steve Bruce. Against Serbia Lyndon Dykes bullied Milenkovic (Serie A), Mitrovic (Ligue A) and Gudeji (La Liga). There's zero doubt that Harry Maguire would be petrified of facing Lyndon Dykes. As he was with Chris Wood today.
  16. So, you agree with me and yet you disagree with me at the same time? How does that work? Do people get money for disagreeing with me? Is there a benefactor?
  17. I get the impression than most people giving their opinion on Che Adams have never watched him. Someone just said that he's a bigger goal threat than Mcburnie. Really? Have you watched Maguire? He's tall and quite big, but he's constantly bullied in physical contests. Who's "Jones"? Phil Jones? He hasn't played since January. He's iinjured.
  18. You says "lines". If more than half the outfield players are on the 28 yard line, those "lines" becomes a line. Play France, Germany, ect, and have 6 players are camped on the 18 yard line, encouraging their players to shoot or cross, we'll get thumped.
  19. If he is, England will have to play a C team.
  20. Technically, Southampton can still go down. They'll start their full strength team from now till the end of the season. That doesn't include Adams.
  21. One of his best performances in a while. Rarely wasted a ball. Almost scored twice. 104 touches.
  22. Very much doubt the Old Firm would get an invite. The inconvenient truth for Old Firm fans is that they are category C or D clubs when it comes to European football.
  23. On the bench for the FA semi final against Leicester. On the bench for the third domestic match in a row. Doubt he's going to get many starts for Southampton before Euro 2020.
  24. Harry Maguire currently making Chris Wood look like Didier Drogba. There's no doubt that Maguire would rather come up against Che Adams than Lyndon Dykes. Adams offers less of a physical presence than McBurnie.
  25. Unless we produce at least one top anchorman, people can forget about playing with a back four. Period.
