  1. So, you're alluding that I'm gay because I made a throwaway (and true) comment about religion being historically against gay people? No. I'm a red blooded, straight, white Scottish male. Thanks for your concern, though. It's a dubious thing to do. I mean, you (probably) think slavery is fine. I don't. Doesnt mean that I'm black.
  2. McCrorie would be 3rd keeper. Porteous would be 6th choice centre back. Chances are, neither of them would get a sniff. Gauld has been one of the top players in the Portugese top league. He should be in the squad. On technical ability, Gilmour and Turnbull are superior to players like Fleck and McGregor, etc. I wouldn't say that either of my picks are wild cards, though. I'd say that the aforementioned names will be Scotland regulars in the future, barring injuries. Some people are talking about Patterson, Shankland, Rooney, Clark. It's a game of opinions.
  3. Yes. In Scotland's previous match. He scored. I had hoped that this notion of "He hasn't played there, therefore, he can't play there" had been put to bed when we started playing McTominay at center back, Christie and McGinn as striker, Tierney at centerback, O'Donnell at right wing back, Robertson at left wing back. Most people told me we shouldn't play with a three because "none of our players play that system at club level." We're talking about professional footballers. In a 90 minutes match players cover a lot of positions and cover lots of blades of grass. As for Armstrong. He wouldn't make my first XI. Therefore, he'd be fighting with Gauld and probably Turnbull for a place in the squad. Gauld is better and has been a stand out in the Portugese Primeira Liga. Turnbull has the potential to be a top player. I really don't have to justify my opinions.
  4. It'll be interesting next season when he and McBurnie are in the same league. I think both will score 20+
  5. I'm sure he's scored a few free kicks more recently than 6 years ago. I didn't specifically mean his two against England. Well.. it's a game of opinions.
  6. If he's a quick healer he might be back early. It's not confirmed yet.
  7. I don't rate him. Griffiths has his many issues, but if he's fit and sharp, he has a spark about him. Not to mention his free kicks. I definitely think it's a coin toss between who is the third keeper.
  8. (Liable to change. Hopefully not, as it means there won't be any further injuries) It's mooted that it's going to be a squad of 25, but there's not been a confirmation. So I'll do 23 with two alternates. I'm doing it by squad numbers: 3-4-1-2: Marshall Hanley - Hendry - Cooper Fraser Robertson (C) McTominay - Tierney McGinn Dykes - Christie Marshall (Derby) Fraser (Newcastle) Robertson (Liverpool) (Captain) Cooper (Leeds) Hanley (Norwich) Hendry (Oostende) McTominay (Man Utd) Tierney (Arsenal) Christie (Celtic) Dykes (QPR) McGinn (Aston Villa) Gordon (Hearts) McCrorie (Rangers) McKenna (Nottingham Forest) Porteous (Hibernian) Gallagher (Motherwell) O'Donnell (Motherwell) McGregor (Celtic) Fleck (Sheffield United) Gilmour (Chelsea) Gauld (Farense) Griffiths (Celtic) McBurnie (Sheffield United) McLean (Norwich) - (Alternate) Turnbull (Celtic) - (Alternate)
  9. Interesting. If he scored it would've been 7 goals in 6 matches with 2 assists. Not bad. He has to start Euro 2020.
  10. He had a groin operation. He'll be out for just three weeks. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ryan-frasers-newcastle-season-could-20449747.amp He should be back in time.
  11. There is a thing called "libel". If a journalist wrote an untruth about me, I'd sue. Have you heard/read Celtic or Rangers going on record by declaring their future to the Scottish game? As I said, even if it's not true, they're still using it as leverage to destroy Scottish football even more than they have. Or is 30 years of dominance not clear enough? Personally, I'd kick both of them out, ideally to either ends of Ireland.
  12. I know. But they should still be sanctioned for bringing up the narrative every several years. For one thing, it's hurting the Scottish football brand when every x amount of years the only two profitable teams are talking about jumping ship. It's not exactly going to encourage investment. No wonder why the TV deal is always a pittance when we allow the Old Firm to run the show. If I were a chairman of the other 40 clubs in Scotland I would get in contact with the other 39, as well as the SFA, SPFL, etc, and pretty much make it crystal clear to the Old Firm that they can either stay or go. They're doing it in England. The "Top 6" are going to face sanctions. Will Scottish football die without the Old Firm? No. If anything, the fans of the other clubs that don't want to attend a rigged competition, would most probably return, as it'll be a more competitive competition. English football doesn't want the Old Firm baggage. They still remember what they done to Manchester a few years ago. That would happen every single week when the Old Firm roll into town. I say call their bluff. If they want to go, go. If not, they have to pay a yearly fee to stay in Scottish football and help subsidise the clubs that they're holding to ransom. It's about time Scottish football showed a bit of backbone.
  13. Definitely. In an ideal world, with everyone fit, for me it's: Dykes, Griffiths and McBurnie. McBurnie hasn't been rules out yet, so you never know.
  14. Backlash! Premier League STRIP Big Six clubs of key positions on their committees as they move to kill off Project Big Picture reforms which were set to hand more power and money to the elite
  15. If you're going to lie then why not just say that I claimed that Che Adams is a natural born goal machine. lol Anyway. Keep it on topic from now on, thanks.
  16. Yeah. You said that I said something, when In actuality I did not. That's the definition of lying. Saying something happened when it never actually happened. Yeah. Dohadeer was a nutter when it comes to typos. I make at least 5 types every other bloody post. Join the dots. Oh cool. So it's not a hobby? Is being a compulsive liar a hobby? Because you're awfully good at it.
  17. I'll repeat it. I said that there was 0.001% chance of us qualifying via the Playoffs. You lied when you said that I didn't want Scotland to qualify via the playoffs. A life? Coming from the guy that said: "calling out hypocrisy is one of my hobbies."
  18. A rejig of the European Cup will go a way to do it. It wouldn't surprise me if UEFA got all clubs to sign a contract where nothing like this will happen again. Are you talking about Scottish football or European football?
  19. I don't think it will. The strength of feeling, from every corner, forced a bunch of billionaires to do what they never do, and that is to make a grovelling apology. It was fun watching the end results. If it did happen, fans would be splintered and they'd all come together, with a benefactor that had the original club at heart, and create their own club. It's happened, to smaller degrees, with AFC Wimbledon and FC United of Manchester.
  20. No EPL center back would want to play against Dykes. Which is why he should start at Euro 2020. It's my guess that he won't. Even if he scored 20 more goals from now till the end of the season.
  21. Scott Wright with a goal. John McGinn with a goal and Lewis Ferguson witha goal. The McGinn one against Manchester City was nice. Just slid it right in. He's playing as an attacking midfielder.
  22. 5 yards out. One on one with the keeper. All he had to was pass it into the net... he hit the keeper. Did the exact same thing against WBA. At least this time he hit the target.
