  1. This person was in government for about a decade. This person used to travel the globe trying to get trade deals. This woman was a remainder. The UK media, Bank of England, OBR and IMF are a bunch of woke lefties??? Values????? She had an extramarital affair.
  2. Last month, UEFA should have sent you an email regarding train deals; individual and passes. 17th January rings a bell. Think the individual journeys for match ticket holders are €29 Don't know about the passes.
  3. Yes, there is a book seat only option; I used this facility after I had booked a journey, but not a seat. On your booking, if it says SITZPLATZRESEVIERUNG, that would suggest you have only booked the seat.
  4. On the subject of Cleverly... 17 minutes of your time...
  5. Aye, I'd agree with that. I've seen him a few times this season and he's never disappointed. Always a busy bee; surging forward, getting balls into the box and weighing in with some cracking goals himself. I don't think any of the Scots boys played badly tonight... I just think the tactics were wrong in the first half.
  6. Aye, 25 matches without defeat, then 2 in a week. I was at the match tonight. Of the three Scottish boys, only Armstrong started. Adams came on at half-time and Fraser a little after that. TBH, I was concerned from the moment I saw the starting line up. Saints lost the match in the first half. I think Russel Martin got it wrong tonight. There was a lot of playing the ball out from the back (excessively so) in the first half and Hull penned us in. For the vast majority of the 2nd half, Hull were the ones penned in. Saints dominated it, but ran out of time. Another ten minutes might have resulted in a draw, such was the pressure being applied by Saints.
  7. To give you an idea of scale, it will only take you 2 or 3 minutes to walk the length of the marina/park above. Everything you see on the maps are merely minutes apart. And to get to the LAB Terrace bar, be sure to walk through the old arch/gate at the southern end of the park. (IIRC, the bar is not accessible from the waterfront path).
  8. Aye, it was. But I like the fact he posted the photo of The Smiths tour shirt with it 😊
  9. Two things have surprised me about Scots recently... One is the number of people on here who liked Steve Wright and the other was when I discovered how popular Madness are in Scotland. Don't know why, but they're just two things I didn't think would transfer over to a Scottish audience.
  10. Morrissey mellows >>> https://www.morrisseycentral.com/messagesfrommorrissey/steve-wright-rip
  11. Despite my dislike of Steve Wright, I'm inclined to agree with you. It's in bad taste, but so too is interrupting Johnny Cash's 'Hurt' with wacky banter.
  12. On the tour following its release, The Smiths apparently sold a T shirt with Wright's face and the words Hang The DJ.
  13. It's not a question of Morrissey's humour. You know the story of Steve Wright and the Chernobyl disaster? And how Steve Wright returned from the newsflash with Wham's Club Tropicana or such like. Morrissey heard this and wrote the song 'Panic' with the lyric, 'Hang the DJ'. Cracking song BTW.
  14. I couldn't stand him, but he used to be on in the office; despite my vocal protests. Just inane shyte. He used to start the show with something called 'Hands Up'. "Hands up if your shoelaces came undone today". "Hands up if you like the look of your own neck" The day I really cracked was when he interrupted Johnny Cash's 'Hurt' with his inane drivel.
  15. Five match package averages out per match at the same price as the individual tickets (?!) https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/ticket-information-announced-for-scotland-men-s-2024-fixtures/?rid=13925
  16. I'm very happy. Almost a perfect draw IMO. Winnable matches and we got Portugal, which I just hope is in Lisbon (new city to me; culture; nightlife; ground hopping).
  17. It's a very nice wee place... Apparently, Faro municipality has a population of just 70 thousand and Faro city only 40 forty thousand. Either way, I was there last time for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it and not once did I experience an early night. Evenings in the LAB Terrace Sunset Bar... Followed by nights in the many bars in the lanes behind The Anchor. ... and don't forget the SC Farense stadium and the Indian restaurant next to The Anchor.
  18. P.S. in truth, there are more bars than the first map shows. Just explore the lanes. P.S. if you are interested in groundhopping, the SC FARENSE stadium (Estadio de Sao Luis) is just a short walk from the marina/park. Farense did play at the Estadio Algarve (where Scotland are playing) for a few seasons, but soon returned to their traditional ground (under fan pressure I suspect).
  19. I stayed in Faro last time for five nights. Nice wee town, which I would happily go back to. Sadly, unable to attend next time. On the below map, plenty of pubs amongst narrow lanes and most were open late. Also, if you walk through the medieval gate at the southern end of the park shown below, that will take you in amongst the old walls. There is a waterfront bar and some restaurants in there too. Only regret... I never got around to visiting the Indian restaurant (Namastey) which is near The Anchor pub.
  20. GOAL - Che Adams (versus Watford in FA Cup replay).
  21. I don't know much about betting and even less about cricket. I believe he was talking about this on Test Match Special on Radio 4 (?)
  22. LBC have just dragged up an interview with Sunak where he revealed how he used to enjoy spread betting when he was a young investment banker working in America. “It was around that time that spread betting had become a thing online. I had certainly never done it before. I was sitting there working on one side doing my investing finance job, and on the other screen I was doing next wicket partnership, next wicket fall, innings total. I just discovered this thing and it was great.”
  23. Adams, Armstrong and Fraser all start. Southampton two up. Armstrong (corner) and Fraser with the assists for the goals. A run followed by an 'exquisite' back-heel from Fraser.
