  1. Twat in a hat. He is looking rough as these days. Maybe his new young wife has decided to start poisoning him earlier than planned. Who could blame her... The stupid clothes he now wears sort of remind of Homer when he became obese(er). All he needs now is the cape. Vain, egotistical whank who has ruined everything he touched because of it. Every group he gets involved in is poisoned by him.
  2. What do you reckon then, could a determined man run and jump and through one mid march? They look pretty doable to me from that photo.
  3. Yeah well you seem to know a worringly large amount about the strength of the skins on a Lambeg drum circa 1960 & 70's. Orra(nge)lo(dge)on? Coinincidence, I dont think so..
  4. Well if we are going to be picky the club disappeared when you incorporated it in 1899. I assume before then it actually functioned as sports club in the traditional sense. They then transformed the club into a corporation i would guess. That 1899 corporation is currently in the hands of BDO who are in the process of liquidating it. Which pretty much rules RFC 2012 being neither a club (gone in 1899) nor RFC 1899 (because BDO have that one and you can't be in two places at the one time).
  5. Couple of cheap BBQ grills with a bag of charcoal each. Get to the glowing ember stage and put them both into a room / confined space for 2 hours, nothing too drafty, with closed windows doors etc. Enter room and lie down, one hour later or less you are unconscious. Make sure you are not discovered for a reasonable time and good night vienna. I would not promote it but I think we all have to think about our end. It's coming after all. This is dignatas ending without dignatas prices. edit: link to proposed humane death penalty method, someone on TV tried rapid decompression as a method of death penalty, without actually dying of course (they after passing out went into a de/re-compression chamber), hypoxia I think it is. Similar to this suicide method. Painless apparently and with an extremely high success rate.
  6. I dare say there is a huge amount of money invested in keeping old people alive no matter how much they have to suffer. We are not even a religious country anymore so what else explains this?
  7. No shit sherlock. I dare say with the right technique and practice you could perfect it, perhaps using some wee tool to breach the skin after which with enough momentum you would get through no bother, much like after a balloon is popped. Who knows but he also risked a kicking each time he did it no doubt.
  8. We are talking a good while ago now I think. 60's 70's maybe I will ask... Apparently he always found a way, flying out of closes at the last second etc to dive beautifully through the the big drum, you know the huge sideways one.
  9. The people who defeated Hitler were the Soviets and in particular the Russians. Which makes it even more disgusting that so many western leaders declined their invitation to their recent may commemorations.
  10. Well it has been a nice wee break from the: "You're a bigot" "No you're a bigot" "No you are the bigot" "No it is you that is the bigot" "Nooooo, I think you'll find you are the bigot" etc etc...
  11. Apparently there was some guy in Glasgow who was famous for running and jumping through the big drum every year - I just heard it from a relative but not sure the details. If true it is top calss work and he deserves a medal.
  12. Right I quote it again and it does not change. They are playing with our minds. Nice work. edit; hmmm when I quote it it is c0mpadre but when I post it it is arsepiece. edit 2: comrade edit 3 ahhh so to get c0mpadre you post c0mrade edit 4 which then changes to arsepiece again when you edit the post. This is dangerous the board could slip into a singularity and suck in the whole universe.
  13. Don't disagree but the whole board has gone to the dogs so I am passed caring I think. It is so bad there is no one around to start a "The Tamb has gone to the dogs" thread. Been ages sionce one of them, that is how bad it is. Anyway I was more marvelling at how the feck Scunnered can write c0mpadre but when I quote it it is arsepiece. That is (admittedly evil) genius. Unless they changed it in between our posts...
  14. Maybe Europe was destroyed in the 20th Century much like the Middle East is being destroyed now in the 21st.
  15. Take one small example... the behaviour of the mainstream media during the referendum. Because we were all following it so closely their behaviour was thrown into sharp relief for a lot of people who previously never noticed it so much, suddenly their phony mask was gone, it was horrific. You do not go back from something like that, you do not trust again. If you do you are a mug. So what was it like in the 1930's with no internet and no TV (not that it would have helped) everyone relying on newspapers. The papers are total and complete scum. Look at the unbelievable lies they pushed to get the Iraq war going and that was in the internet age. I think we are living in a world of lies and it goes back deep.
  16. I think Churchill was a disaster for Britain. Most folk at the time listening to him on the radio thought he was half cut I read recently (some analysis of soldier diaries / letters I think it was). It all sounded good decades after the event but if you had lost loved ones it would have just been empty words from a nasty old bigoted drunk living in comparative luxury. People agree history is the propaganda of the victors but ok what of it is exactly? and to what extent does it go? You do actually have to make judgements for yourself as the history books will obviously not be telling you. So where are you actually deviating from the official historical script? Saying yes history is propaganda and then telling people they are 'denying' if they disagree with your views on it is why we fell out last time Ally.
  17. I lived not far from there for about three years in the 90's. It was a desolate shit hole for decent pubs with hindsight. There was a comedy club nearby that was all right and a couple of places on the northline side of clapham. Near the west of the Junction side always had an edge of super dodgy. Pal of mine was offered a game of pool 'for lives' in the pub (just up on the right?) as you come out of the station. ahhh happy times. The thought of having to go back to live in London gives me a shudder... the only place i have been that really did feel like a rat race.
  18. What makes you so sure numero 11 is a bloke. mod11 is the best mod by far. that has been true for as long as I have posted on here. mod18 (not been seen in a while, phew) on the other end of the scale literally had no sense of humour, like none, you'd think that was impossible, but it isn't. But anyway no s/he did not. You pretty much did. You are a bit annoyed they are making life difficult for you but then again maybe they should... are you just another honest punter on here scunnered? Lots of verifiable stories about people paid to spam message boards with this message or that... you very much look like a candidate for that. I am suspicious of you myself, big time. No offense if you are an innocent punter. edit: haha now i am off to report you for personal abuse. this is genius work by the mods.
  19. The opening paragraph of the board guidelines has all you need to know... "This message board is intended to fulfil a serious function for the Tartan Army, but it's also important that we don't take ourselves too seriously. Humour is the fundamental requirement for membership of the Tartan Army. So, when you’re logging on, just check that your sense of humour is switched on. It's not compulsory to like everyone and it's perfectly acceptable to argue, but please refrain from abusive language and personal attacks."
