  1. Day time we should still get the oompah bands and buxom barmaids bringing the steins!
  2. Slovak Rail timetable on line says last train back from Trnava to Bratislava is 10:35. Think they may have put on a special at 11pm to get us back. Can anyone confirm? Also from looking at Google Earth the stadium is only a 10 minute walk from the station. Come out the station turn right on to Kollarova and carry on straight to the ground.
  3. Vienna Beerfest is on until 9th Oct. Location Kaiserwiese, Prater (near the big Ferris Wheel. Three big beer tents. Free entry up to 18:00 but €46 a head after 6 as it includes a gig.
  4. Getting into Vienna on the Friday so will head up to the Highlander for Lithuania game on Saturday.
  5. Looking for two seats on the bus to Trnava as well. Post me a line if anythings available. Thx.
  6. Sevilla 1982 definitely. 90 degrees and humid, nine at night. Don't know how the pipers managed it. Skopje first time as well; mind you the early kick off the SFA had conceded didnae help.
  7. Payment transferred this afternoon for the two of us. Hope digital banking has worked. Wont be in Edinburgh for the game against Catarrh. Might catch up in Dublin;where are you drinking??
  8. The Albion is where Loony Alba have met for the last few games. Good upstairs room and Youngs beer. Central and near Blackfriars train station.

  10. Two week train journey across the Caucasus to allow for a pub stop or two (the guide book says although the religion is Islam its not strict and they don't mind a bevvy) and maybe the time to get through the Georgian border from Az!!
  11. Booked up now. Gatwick - Kiev, Kiev - Baku Ukranian Airways on 15th August. Three days in Baku then train to Georgia, arriving Tiblisi 1st Sept. Tiblisi - Istanbul - Gatwick on 6th Sept to get back for the Germany game. Azerbaijan visas £100, though may be cheaper if you get a travel agent in Baku to do it for you. Was at the Embassy in London yesterday; not very helpful just said get the visa on line and you need a letter of introduction as well; hotel reservation confirmation will do. Also have to register with the polis if your staying more than three days. Expensive and lot of hassle I know but probably only chance I'll have to have a pint in Az unless we get Khasakastan next draw up.
  12. Have you got me down as x2? Bird would'nt forgive me if I left her out of a trip to Stalingrad!
  13. Hi Wanderer, Could you put me and the girlfriend down for the second bus. Let me know about payment. Sandy & Jane
  14. Myself & the girlfriend looking at going by Azerbaijan. Flying Heathrow - Istanbul or Kiev to Baku. Two or three days there then train over to Tiblisi. Anyone else taking that route or done it afore.
