  1. Well, terrific by Scottish standards and probably the most likely not to look out of place amongst really good players by other nations standards. I think he'll do well in France and Scotland will see the benefit.
  2. Mo Johnston's level skyrocketed when he played there. Fletcher is a terrific player, albeit not a prolific goal scorer. He'd do well in any league provided a manager knew how to play him.
  3. The Cardiff manager wanted to sign him on a permanent deal but they've just been hit with a transfer embargo and he had to return to his parent club, Charlton. I think he may indeed be a bit of a bam, but he has the talent to be a terrific player. Pace, power and a natural finisher. It's up to him.
  4. I didn't realise he was black, sorry for the confusion...
  5. You rightly flag up bigotry, but are happy to endorse English-born players turning out for Scotland as "c##ts". Charming.
  6. Robertson is probably our best crosser though, and his defensive qualities and pace should make us harder to beat. I like Fraser though and he should be in the squad for the next campaign. Tierney straight in at left back.
  7. Not anyone, but I think we're kidding ourselves on that the English born players in the team all supported Scotland as a kid and wanted England to lose. It's just our luck they weren't picked for England. It would appear the "c***ts" some people are referring to are just the ones England got first. It's a lot of racist pish.
  8. and of course if Russell Martin had been called up by England he would have told them where to go.
  9. Give the league cup winners a European place and play the final before Christmas.
  10. Martin, Caulker, Hanley, Tierney (Robertson wide instead of Anya). We were weak at the back in the last campaign and it cost us. This looks more solid to me (if we get Caulker).
  11. I find I must agree with you in this matter.
  12. No mention of changes to the 7 performance schools. I hope these are going to produce players for the national team by the early 2020s.
  13. Stuart McCall, James Morrison blah blah blah.
  14. http://www.offthepostnews.co.uk/?p=8718 I can see the tug o' war headlines now...
  15. He needs to be capped before England get him.
  16. I'm unconvinced by him. He's far too slow, and can't beat a man. He has a good left foot although has he ever crossed a ball for us? I'd hope to see Ryan Fraser, Snodgrass and Forrest challenge for his position.
  17. Fletcher, Snodgrass and Dorrans did blaze a trail to the u19 Euro cup final and we all got quite excited, certainly more so than for a friendly against, say, Hungary. I'm all for fast tracking the best players but it depends on the circumstances surrounding each game. There's a lot to be said for a generation of talent bonding in a knock out tournament - against the very players they'll be facing in the years to come.
