This is a good thread but I am alarmed every time I see a reference to Bridcutt. I talk with Sunderland supporters whose opinions I trust and they say he is never an EPL player. Ok he provided a simple pass for Fletcher's second goal yesterday but check the Sunderland fan forums and you will find he is not exactly a fan favourite.

This is the best news for the development of the Scottish national team since the firing of Levein. Hopefully the SFA will get the appointment right this time and the new manager will be as good for the U-21's as Strachan for the first team.

I also agree Fletcher was good and should be our main striker. He did not get anything to attack in the air but on the deck was class - Two beautiful back-heels and disguised reverse pass in the box. Naismith was energetic but far too wasteful and Snodgrass should retain "in the hole" position once fit.

Gordon Hutton Martin Hanley Robertson Brown Dorrans Morrison Anya Naismith Fletcher Marshall is superb but Gordon is better, though doubt Marshall will be dropped. Based on his last performances for Man U and Scotland I would not play D Fletcher. And Dorrans has to be the form player over Bannan for right midfield - He played last few WBA games there. Dorrans also is dead-ball specialist in absence of Mulgrew and Snodgrass.
