It was never ever a pen and he ran past the ball and lost it poorly after a decent burst forward. Burke did not have one decent moment that came to anything and was so lazy off the ball it was a joke. He didnt look interested unless ball at feet when he just tried to get head down and run through them. Not once it came to anything. Won a few headers to be fair.

What happened at the end of those runs? Burke did nothing and looked more like falling over ball than doing anything positive with it. He was garbage and lazy. Three runs that 'looked dangerous' is about as dangerous as Forrest missed chance.

Burke was doing all and was walking about not defending or working an inch. Forrest wasnt any better or worse than him on ball and probably at very least worked harder.

Strachans problem is that he thinks he is some kind of football visionary while the players are not good enough to absorb his ideas.... and he tells them that all the time. If he can use the excuse of players not being good enough when up against a top side then he sure as can take the blame for poor organisation, team selection when he has a better group of players to choose from than opposition.

Northern Ireland with a relatively poor squd finished above teams with better players than them. When have Scotland last done that? The players are not worse than the Republic of Ireland who qualified. Are not worse than likes of Georgia and Lithuania who cant get results against. The squad is average but other similar squads and worse are doing better than Scotland. It is a lame excuse.

Had a better standard of player than Lithuania tonight. They had an ex Hearts players running rings round Scotland. Better standard of player than Northern Ireland who qualified for Euros. On a par with Ireland who also qualified. It is a poor excuse Strachan uses to save his own failures.

Strachan seems to spend half his time telling the squad how average they are and devoid of any stars. Looks like they believe him to extent that the likes of Lithuania are sat off and allowed to pass it around and Scotland panic and hoof long balls.

Why when Scotland have the players that are in the better leagues and at better clubs is it never relevant to Strachan? He speaks as if fans should be grateful the team worked hard.
