  1. credited with an assist on who scored, for Aubemyang I assume as he has scored the other two goals
  2. Funny thing is he was part of the team that beat Albania and Israel, our best performances in ages. He did have Calum Patterson beside him at right back.......just saying
  3. Brilliant twice with Paterson as the right back, just saying
  4. Just watched some you tube clips, I'd start him tomorrow
  5. Never heard of him probably best to wait and see how he does in the Champions League next season🤞 Certain ratings site had him as a well above average keeper in Ligue 1 last season for his 13 games. Been substituted late on in his last two games (3 goals up in each) and Olympiacos have let a goal in after in both. Back to Who scored and he has that lovely "Player has no significant weaknesses" comment which is rare in a keeper. Good to have a Greek team to support Brilliant on the bench tonight
  6. Spot the Celtic fan! Robertson has to play and Tierney as near as damn it has to play central defence. Question is should it be in a back four or a back three. A question you are in a better position than most to answer. One positive mind you if Robertson didn't play some one else would be captain.
  7. Can't believe the comments on the Arsenal notice board about Tierney, future captain and the steal of the decade at £25 million amongst others. Question though if you are very good as a defender in a back three does that mean you are automatically very good in a back four. Robertson is on record saying he doesn't like playing as wing back and as far as I can see McBurnie is the only likely starter who plays in a 3-5-2 formation. Hopefully stays in central defence and gives us one less problem.
  8. Regards A It wasn't you in particular. Regards C I think he is already too old to go very far. Regards D as far as I am aware Burke is just about the only player to have played any more than a couple of games in a top league Regards B and E that is what the thread is about so thanks for not going of on a tangent about players 20 years ago and ones that probably don't even think about the possibility of a Scotland call up. Sorry if it appeared that I was having a go at you, that was not the plan, and thank's for your contribution regarding players out of the spotlight we need more of it!
  9. Sorry but he's 24 and playing for a team who are ninth in the second tier of Italian football,, probably better to keep an eye on Charlie Gilmour who is four years younger and playing for a team 10th in the Dutch 2nd tier tier. We really have to get over this playing abroad makes you a decent player attitude. Impossible to compare leagues but Barry Bnnan and Paul Gallagher are probably better than both of them.
  10. He's even worse than Che Adams. 24 year old out on loan from Livingston to QoS or have I misread Wikipedia?
  11. 2 seasons ago we were talking about David Bates in the Bundesliga, Jack Harper in La liga and Liam Henderson in Serie A. Pretty sure all of them have seen their last chance of call ups. Liam Henderson dd manage two games in Serie A I suppose. As some one said, one in twenty is probably a good return for prospects who move abroad or to bigger teams in the UK
  12. Scottish players in action 19/20 Che Adams deserves more mentions on here than McFadden
  13. Probably played 90% of his games over the last two years on the left, no idea why people keep putting him on the right. Three years ago he played every position on the left and right including right back twice. His stats for positions three years ago were really funny but I got pretty excited when they tried him at right back for the last two games of the season due to our problems there. Started out on the left wing in 18/19 and that was were he looked like a £50 million pound player. Stats wise he can't defend so unless we find two central defenders I doubt if he is the answer.
  14. Tierney playing in a back 3 by the looks of things
  15. Only a stats site but Tom McIntyre was excellent again tonight despite the defeat according to who scored.com. Interesting to see if he moves in the summer when ever that is. Again only a stats site but Jack Grimmer is a bang average League 1 player, in fact Ross McCrorie is rated higher than him.
  16. Quite like that, Christie and Armstrong are both better on the right side of midfield though. Armstrong has scored against Man Utd tonight
  17. Cooper ahead of McKenna for me is a no brainer , McTominay is probably our best central defender and Tierney could easily be our next best. We have a pool of midfielders so why not, certainly confuse opposition scouts. Gets rid of the need for a right back but cuts back on Robbertsons impact. Seems obvious that to play our best we will have to play players out of their comfort zone.
  18. I don't think, I get other people to do it for me.
  19. Douglas was on bench today and has started five games all season, next person to mention him in this thread is getting a spanking. Liam Copper has been an above average Championship defender for five seasons now, next year we will find out if he is actually any good. Fingers crossed time. Stats say five years but the Leeds forum weren't really behind him until about two and a half years ago, go's to show how hard it is to be objective about central defenders. Takes about 2 years to forget the shaky start most defenders have early in their careers
  20. I can't think of a player I have thought more over rated than Hansen, maybe Stevie Gerrard but that's about it.
  21. He can play anywhere at SPL level, I think fans that only watch EPL games might have a better idea as to what he can do at a decent standard.
