  1. On the megabus fae Manchester 10.30 on Friday. Anybody else on this? a pal has just told me no to wear tartan as I'm on my own and could be easily picked aff by arsey England fans. This just put a little doubt in ma heid.
  2. I think the point of my original post has been missed. i am rightly on zero points and I think it's the fairest system we have. i am now in a position that I can afford to travel and aye to unfashionable places too. my point was that as I rejoined in march and there was no guarantee that I could rejoin, my family holiday was already booked and therefore could not go to the game in May. It's the only game that I couldnae make. However it's the only game that has been available to those on zero points before the England game. my original post was around friendly games and why all the other nations already have games arranged and we don't. we talk about younger players no being experienced enough yet we don't have any games arranged for them to get experience. i don't expect the sfa to arrange games for me to get points but I do expect them to be on the ball and arranging games for our players to get game time in a Scotland shirt.
  3. I understand that. My original point was that for those folk like me that rejoined this year or those folk that it's their first membership there's no really been any advantage to it, as only had the opportunity for one away game up to now (before England). the guarantee of home tickets doesnae really sell it either. If I wanted home tickets only, I wouldnae be paying membership for the privilege when the discount offered doesnae cover it. if I paid full price with no membership, overall I would have paid less than those in the ssc who get discounted tickets.
  4. I think you will find you're mistaken. since the renewal of membership this year, there has only been one game that went to zero points. Slovakia needed 5 points, Malta 1 point, France 5 points, Italy 0 points, Czech Republic 1 point. so of the last 5 games, only one has been available to me. however I still think the points system is the fairest way to allocate tickets. and I have now managed to get a ticket for Wembley however we have an unexpectedly large allocation for the game so I wasn't expecting to get a ticket.
  5. I don't understand this view that players are too inexperienced at this level or that they're one for the future. Surely the best way to get experience is to play in exactly this type of game. we are playing that rubbish at the minute with no seemingly good excuse. At least if we played youngsters and got beat due to inexperience that would be more acceptable.
  6. The other years I wasn't in a position to go to away games. For various reasons. I am rightly on zero points. My concern is that I could have paid a two year membership and only have the opportunity to buy a ticket for one game.
  7. I rejoined the supporters club this year and there has only been one game offered to those on zero points. Unfortunately I was on my family holiday. Just think there needs to be the opportunity to build points with advance notice to try and arrange travel at a reasonable price.
  8. As we seem to only have two away games planned for the next year, is there likely to be any away friendlies arranged? four days after we visit Wembley, England have a friendly with Spain. i haven't heard anything about any other games being arranged for Scotland. this might allow the opportunity for those with low or zero points to get on the ladder.
  9. I have a ticket in the away end and a room booked in st.julian for the Saturday and Sunday night. My wife is in hospital and I won't be able to travel. I have gone past the cancellation date so will have to pay anyway. Let me know if you are interested in either.
  10. What is confusing to me is that the sfa have managed to get 4k tickets and yet Malta FA realise that's not enough and are encouraging Scotland fans to buy directly from them and have allocated a Scotland section. I have bought a ticket in the home end so will be at the game. However I will not get the point for travelling and being there. I understand the point system and Agree with it. However I only rejoined the supporters club this year and because that wasn't guaranteed I did not book for the friendlies earlier in the year.
  11. looking for one seat if you have any dropouts, can you put me on a standby list? cheers
  12. I have only just rejoined the ssc after having a few years away. I remember the last time I was in I had to supply travel details rather than a pick up. does this no happen any more?
  13. just bought my ticket from malta fa. west stand A upper tier for Scotland fans seems to be sold out. so had to get my ticket for elsewhere I n the ground.
  14. Also on 0 points but have flights and hotel paid for. Might need advice on how to get a ticket for the home end
  15. I am flying from Manchester on the Friday night back on Monday with air malta. they emailed me a couple of weeks ago to say they were changing the flight times. I think there was only an hours difference so nothing tae worry about
  16. hi watershed, I have sent my payment today. I was doon for bus 3 cheers
  17. I'm surprised they sold 23000 but huv they really? got my membership today. does anyone know what the numbers are above the photo? guessing this was the number of memberships issued. which would suggest more like 11000
  18. Got mine the day in Manchester. I only waited 3 weeks
  19. Thank you! Let me know when / how you want payment.
  20. If you still have a seat can I have 1 please?
  21. If there's space for new members but oversubscribed, does anyone know how they decide? Is it a ballot? Will being a member previously and a history of going to games be taken into account?
  22. I never thought about finals tickets. I wouldnae expect to get any because of the points situation. Just need a membership to be given the option to get some points. However it looks with the group we've drawn this is going to be incredibly difficult.
  23. Have they ever sold a home game to all 35000 members? I never went to all the home games as I live in England and was difficult wi work. There will always be a percentage of people no takin up the offer of a ticket. If half are in it for home games, do you think they'll ever do a 2 tier membership?
  24. In hindsight I should have paid the £55 to stay in
  25. I did not renew my membership last time as I knew I wouldnae be in a position to go to any games. Now I know I will be ok for the next couple of years but noticed that membership is full. What are the chances of getting a membership next year? Will this be harder than usual because England are in the group?
