  1. Yes but Robertson is already showing his talent at international level after just two caps and getting rave reviews. Dorrans has ten caps and yet to set the Heather alight and minus the rave reviews so some difference between the two. Don't get me wrong I hope Dorrans can prove me wrong but I just don't see it.
  2. But Dorrans is unproven at international level.
  3. Spot on Bzzz. If you choose not to sing Flower of Scotland on Saturday you are depriving our players of that vital support to further fire them up. Why would any right-minded Scotland supporter want to do that?
  4. Nonsense. In Germany he was our best player on the pitch (in my opinion) in the first half.
  5. That is the starting line-up for me but playing Naismith alongside Fletcher up front or in the hole behind him in front of midfield.
  6. I will say this. Those of you thinking you are making some sort of a statement by not singing Flower of Scotland are playing into No voters or union supporting hands. It is the union lovers that would have us change our national anthem from FoS and so what are we who want independence achieving by not showing our utter defiance by singing Flower of Scotland - LOUD AND BLOODY PROUD.
  7. And again I say if he is such a liability then how come he has been a regular in the side in the past year when our defence has been miserly. Something not adding up there.
  8. Names? And what level are these youngsters playing at? And still waiting for examples of all these goals he has cost us. I am not arguing that he is perfection personified by any means and perhaps he is stronger in supporting attack than defence but he has something none other of our defenders have - pace. Plus I don't think it can really be debated that he is the best we have in that position at the moment.
  9. Hmm one goal in nearly 40 games. Hardly a sackable or burning at the stake offence. By the way who have you got in mind as a replacement?
  10. Mince? Compared to the likes of Ronaldo then yes. Compared to the likes of other Scottish strikers then he is the best of the bunch.
  11. I am flabberghasted. So we should bin FOS purely for one random line in the lyrics? Do me a favour eh? How many Scotland fans cannot stand The Sound of Music as a film but readily join in to sing 'Doe a Deer'? How many England fans hate or can't stand royal family but sing GSTQ? Need I go on? Flower of Scotland is our national anthem and that is what it remains. If you want to give the team the best support then belt it out as loud as you can whether you not you want to protest at the independence vote which is now an irrelevance as far as this match is concerned.
  12. Can you give us instances of goals he has cost us? Certainly not any in the last year as we have conceded so few goals.
  13. I am confident that we will start with both Naismith and Fletcher V Georgia. Gordon realises the need for goals so can see him naming a more attacking side.
  14. He wasn't outstanding or superb V Germany but neither did he let us down in any way shape or form whereas Whittaker was exposed. The other option in that position (right-back) would be to re-integrate Bardsley into the side but how has he been performing? Well playing in Stoke's defence yesterday they conceded more goals V Sunderland than Villa V Man City.
  15. Nope but were they expected to considering the vast difference in talent available between the two squads?
  16. Marshall or Gordon? Does it really matter as both are international class goalkeepers and won't let us down. Great to see Gordon back from the brink of a tragic end to his career though.
  17. I am another who doesn't see the point of this thread. So he had a poor game today against the champions but lets remember he has been one of Villa's better players this season as well. He never let us down in anyway against the World Champions Germany so why should we worry about him facing Georgia at home?
  18. Well since he has been added toSporting's Champions League squad that tells us the form he is in. And I'd say class is permanent and he has already shown he has that.
  19. Lammy if Gauld had remained at United he would still be a first team regular so I font see that as an issue. In any case I find it highly comical to mention Jack and Pawlett in the same breath as Gauld who is a class or three above them.
  20. All of the chosen strikers can link up with supporting players, Fletcher, May and Martin have a bit of aerial prowess whilst Naismith offers work rate and ability to create chances. Rhodes falls short in those areas.
  21. Strachan likes players with many strings to their bow and aside from being goal poacher is Rhodes anything else? By that I mean he cannot hold ball up and off-load. He isn't the sort to create goals out of nothing so you see he comes across as one dimensional compared to our other striking options.
  22. Great to see Gauld called up and I welcome it. He has already proven himself at SPL level and his inclusion in Sporting's Champions League squad says what they think of him for the future. I doubt he will feature for us in the upcoming matches but he has the potential to be a big star for us so why hold back? Get him in.
