  1. Yes but after you said he was definitely offside which (even if he was) it wasn't given but would need video evidence to substantiate if he ever was offside. Apologies in that you did say he wasn't given offside so we return to as why the goal was chalked off and leaves only one explanation that the linesman ruled the ball curled out of play and back in again. Rough decision on us.
  2. It could NOT have been for offside as the flag went up well after Adam had got the ball. The flag went up as the ball curled into the area. But in any case you catch my drift. Some times you get the rub of the green and other times you don't.
  3. The only thing missing from the Georgia match for us was more goals. Had we got a second the nervy end would have been avoided. We must be more ruthless in the final third as we also passed up chances in Germany.
  4. Adam was not offside. The goal was disallowed as linesman ruled that the ball curled out of play and back in for the cross. That was the official take on it. Parklife argue if you wish and suppose you feel Lithuania won a legitimate penalty against us as well in Kaunas or that refer was correct not to allow us time for corner V Germany etc etc etc. My basic point being we have sometimes suffered through rank rotten decisions but this time one possibly went in our fafavour. Swings and roundabouts.
  5. Of course it was. All replays prove that conclusively.
  6. Okay fair point but thing is we have had decisions go against as well such as Fletcher goal chalked off V Wales when it was a fair goal. As I said - swings and roundabouts.
  7. Well I am glad you concur and so I take it you agree with Gordon when he persists with his ever present right-back Alan Hutton.
  8. Swings and roundabouts. Swings and roundabouts. Many thought Mulgrew was unlucky to get sent off V Germany and I have seen many meaty challenges on our players go unpunished. Some you win some you lose.
  9. All I can say is thank god it is Gordon picking the side and not some of the posters on here.
  10. It wasn't good. The worrying aspect is he lost from a winning position on a hard court (for only the second time on the surface to Ferrer who is more renowned on clay). Worrying times for Andy and you do begin to wonder if he will ever return to former glories.
  11. Unlikely. Unless the ref has put it in his match report which I can't see him doing since he never even gave the free-kick.
  12. Well how about the Pole who dived in the area shortly after that incident trying to con the ref and win a penalty. Is that also not now a red card offence as well or at least yellow?
  13. In this campaign so far there can be little to complain about in terms of our all-round performances and quality of play however two things spring to mind in our two crunch away matches so far. In Germany and Poland we conceded early goals inside the first 15 minutes which put us right on the back foot but thankfully our character shone through and we mounted admirable fightbacks. Nevertheless we can do without these sloppy starts. Secondly, in both games we have conceded goals in the last 15 minutes and worryingly that has now cost us three points in this campaign. We must rectify these annoying traits or they will be our downfall in this campaign.
  14. The sad fact is, seemingly, there must always be scapegoats - even if we are on a run of one loss in eight matches in over a year. In the past seven days we have had Fletcher slated, Whittaker and Greer slated BEFORE even kicking a ball in Warsaw and now Hutton.
  15. We have had three matches in this campaign and Hutton had very good matches in Dortmund and at Ibrox and now after one mistake he is a liability and should be dropped.? I am all for a bit of constructive criticism but like a bit of realism as well. We keep hearing from certain people that Hutton should be axed etc well fair enough you are entitled to your opinion. So now we go onto the what if we did axe him can you offer up a realistic option? The only one that springs to mind I wouldn't mind seeing back in the side would be Phil Bardsley but for some reason he is not flavour of the month. So if not Bardsley then who? There is nobody else ready for the job just now - those are the stark realities. Now lets return to the myth of Hutton being a liability. He has been an ever present in the Strachan reign and by all accounts I am sure we are all in agreement that we have improved ten-fold and in the last year have lost one match in our last eight. Hardly the form of a team carrying a liability is it?
  16. Well obviously Lambert doesn't now as Hutton is a first team regular.
  17. That pretty much hits the nail on the head. Pre and post-match it is always the same on here with posters needing to lambast our players. Steven Fletcher was criticised after Saturday, before last night it was Whittaker and Greer taking the flak and post-match the pantomime villain was Alan Hutton. Who next? If you read the comments I find it hard to believe we are still in the qualifying race considering so many of our players take stick in pure knee-jerk reactions or purely with no justification in Greer's case.
  18. Mistake after mistake? A tad too harsh for me considering it is his first in three matches allbeit a costly one.
  19. As I suggested Greer let nobody down. Pretty solid.
  20. He will still start against Ireland and let's hope that is his big blunder out of the way. We really need some competition for that spot though to keep him on his toes. He does offer a lot going forward but defending is what he should be best at but sadly at times I don't think it is. Still the best we have at the moment.
  21. Sure he cost us tonight but he does offer pace and supports attack well anand aside from Bardsley we are limited in that area.
  22. If we can defend a bit better and be more crisp in final third a win is on here. I still remain to be convinced by Poland.
