Ah I see, I was under the impression that international fixtures could only be played on Fifa calendar dates. June would be good then!

Just checked the FIFA calendar and seems we can't play a friendly in June... can have upto 2 next month, then upto 2 at the end of March. Then that's us till Malta. Would be good to have Hungary or something away in March...

Update on this... I've now booked acoustic act "Hammy" who will play all the TA classics live... should be a great singalong. There's gonna be a raffle... 1st prize Signed Scotland Top*, 2nd prize 4 tickets to Scribblers Hogmanay Party, 3rd Prize bottle of whisky. Will be donating money to Sunshine Appeal as well. The bar is gonna show the rugby in the afternoon, we've a piper to play a few songs into the evening then all the big Tartan Army anthems, cheese, 80's classics through till 4am (song requests welcomed...) There's drink deals (large beer €2/ sprit & mix £3.50 till 10pm), and it's free entry. See ye all on Saturday

Just don't feel a draw against Poland will be enough, think Ireland will pick up at least 1 point from their remaining 2 games. Though I suppose if we draw and Germany beat Ireland it still makes the Portugal trip meaningful. Would be good to see us win the remaining 2 matches, and Ireland beat Poland to finish 2nd, but time will tell...

Based on current standings and the final 2 games, looks like Ukraine will likely finish as top 3rd place team meaning whoever finishes third in our group will get drawn against either: 1) Turkey or Holland 2) Russia or Sweden Plus 2 of the following: Bosnia, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Norway & Denmark.

So potentially a home Saturday tie if we make the playoffs!
