Trying to do a bit of research now, but I fear I may be going down a rabbit hole. I just always assumed it was a sectarian insult, so was surprised to see it used so brazenly on here. Remember you’re on a Scotland supporters’ forum, not a Celtic one. Surely it’s best to leave club rivalries aside, and err on the side of caution in terms of potentially offensive remarks.

From what I can make out, the SFA have said that it’s an offensive term, and at least one person has been convicted in court of religiously-aggravated breach of the peace, for using the word. (From what I know of Old Firm fans, you will maybe respond by telling me that the SFA are run by Rangers supporters, or something like that?) If the SFA have said it’s an offensive term, then I don’t think we should be using it - anywhere - let alone on a Scotland supporters’ forum.

Dont use it if you dont want to, that's your choice.

I'll post whatever the fuck I want though,  I've told you this before when you sent me a message about the women's football team. You sound like you need to go and get your hole rather than sit up late on a Saturday worrying about what the SFA seems offensive.

I’m not an Old Firm fan, so I don’t know the ins and outs of the debate - and I’m not looking for a biased history lesson from someone who supports either team - but I thought that word was an offensive sectarian term? (The word in front of the word TV in the post I’ve quoted.)

It may be offensive to them, hopefully it is even, but it isn't sectarian. You won't need a history lesson, just ask one of the fans of the other clubs in the league why they call them it too.

Or better still, ask the journalist from the Midlands who first gave them the name when they wrecked Wolverhampton.

Or if that still isn't enough then try and work out why people like Neil McCann and Steven Gerrard are huns and why Jock Stein and Danny McGrain are not.

No it's incoherent on its own regardless of how the outbreak processes.

Stating people are "fuds" for being worried is the incoherence. It's just noise without any rational appraisal of the known information. If no one else dies it's still incoherent.

I think my opinion on this is rather more robust than your one above. I imagine you think the latter.

I'm also curious are you Chris? Or is it common parlance amongst Celtic fans, the original quote, that makes me think you are. If you are then it makes the Rossy shit even more funny.

I'm a bit confused with you and slashers conversation but just to be clear (in case you didn't know) that the tweet from CB last week was taking the piss out of a piece of commentary from the guy from Hun TV after they beat Celtic at the new year.

Slasher isn't Chris (as far as I know anyway!)

Hahaha, I genuinely just laughed out loud at that one.

‘How dare you let the Coronavirus randomly stop you from hosting this football match ‘properly.’ We’re going to have to remove that privilege from you.’

Is that a balanced, well-considered opinion you’ve come to, or is that one made with your saltire-tinted glasses on?

Even if home fans are banned from matches, the team are still allowed to host the match. They don’t switch it to the away team’s venue. Surely something which was no fault of the home team, shouldn’t lead to them being punished, by having the match switched to an away match?

Having a play off in front of an empty stadium makes no sense, move it where fans can get in and watch it

As for you laughing out loud, I imagine you do that most of the day with a white jacket and padlocks round you,so I'm not really bothered.

Surely the fact that they were drawn at home is a pretty obvious reason to hold it in Norway/Serbia.

But they don't really have a "right" to be at home, not like it's a group where we've played them at Hampden and we're looking to play them there for a second time. If they can't host it properly then the privilege should be removed

How do you know the Israel gome won't be behind closed doors? A lot can happen in a couple of weeks.

I don't, nobody does, which is why I said "in that event".  If we're still playing in front of full stadiums and Norway are behind closed doors then no way it should be held there.

If it came to that, maybe a closed doors match would be better for us than Norway? Takes their 12th man out of the equation.

Should be switched to Hampden in that event

No they haven't - been to plenty Semi-Finals at Dens, Tynecastle etc. IMO Hampden should be for Finals only, would make it more of an occasion.

I think we'll be lucky to sell 7 or 8 thousand for this game. The McInnes years have taken away the novelty factor of Semi Finals & Hampden so spending the guts of £100, and an entire day getting to neutral Glasgow, for a guaranteed defeat will have limited appeal I reckon. If I thought we had a 10-20% chance of winning it might be different.

I agree about the semi finals. Move them to to other venues, with exceptions like Hearts v Hibs or Celtic v sevco

Ah, the old ‘gut feeling.’ The safe way to make a prediction without having to justify it with logic or reasoning.

Why do you go out of your way to be a dick to more or less every cunt on here?

How about if in a similar situation to england v holland at euro 96....where boot was on the other foot

I don't dislike England enough to want Scotland to lose  to stop them qualifying.

Club football is different though, wasn't overly fussed when Aberdeen and Hearts beat Celtic to get second place ahead if the huns.
