  1. What a load of tosh we got robbed in Bulgaria in 1977 should have qualified for 1978 WC - we always had a good side even under Hand and Giles before him. Charlton just got the right mix and the system that nobody could handle and the rest is history as they say - we were no Faroe Islands my friend we always had top players in England from the 60's onwards.
  2. Come on Helen stick a green top on... Let the people sing their stories and their songs And the music of their native land Their lullabies and battlecries and songs of hope and joy....bring it on!! We played the North in that mickey mouse Carling Cup of Nations a few years back there was no trouble at Lansdowne Road.
  3. Signed - best of luck with it from Eire.
  4. We are getting 5% about 3k officially but given the Irish diaspora all over the UK I reckon there'll be between 7k to 10k converging on Paradise especially after Tuesday's result it's a cup final.
  5. Could you not have added Christy Moore to that list? The man's performances at the Barras are legendary he's even wrote a song about the place.
  6. Chaps for ticket collection is it Celtic Park or SFA HQ?
  7. If Mon continues to ply his negative tactics of Whelan and Quinn in midfield you'll have a field day for both away games we've been very defensive playing a five man midfield with one up front to date. MON let the shackles off after conceding v Germany for the last 15 mins the subs worked a treat, just hoping we are positive in Glasgow from the off. Look forward to seeing this lad Anya, I'd rather if Coleman was marking him then Ward.
  8. Ireland v Scotland at Lansdowne Road October 1986 - we are still toasting Gary of Hearts for getting us through to Euro '88. My abiding memory as a very wee child was all the Scots in kilts and Balmoral hats presume it's still the attire for home and away games today.
  9. If you believe this won't be sold out you must be in dreamland the FAI have received 10k applications and not sure about plastic Irish but the Irish have been snapping up tickets on the SFA website over the last couple of days. I'm sure we will all sit in harmony.
