PIRA were capable of mounting an attack within 15 mins. These people are much better funded and equipped. And whilst the guy or woman delivering the bomb might be thick as pigshit the people who manufacture these devices are usually Chemists , electronics engineers etc. In addition they are constantly preparing attacks , carrying out recce's of potential targets. Exactly the same as the military /security forces do , contingency plans, what if scenarios. Almost every single major public building and facility in UK has been assessed by security forces as to how they would deal with an incident in that location. Unfortunately thanks to Tory cutbacks we don't have sufficient resources to do it properly .

I only know one Sri Lanka, and as I said the animals didn't appear to have been mistreated. Buddhists or not people can still mistreat animals.

If it s an EU built vehicle surely it will be LH Drive? I've just brought my LH drive VW Passat estate over from Germany to get it registered on UK system head lights need to be swapped (£300-600 ) but that is all (Just had it MOT'd today passed easily ) The only problem I have with mine over here is the bloody ticket machines in car parks . If I'm on my own in the car i have to get out and walk round to get ticket / open barrier.

I spent some time in Sri Lanka and India many years ago, and we did the Elephant ride thing. The elephants however were also used for logging , I don't remember seeing the handlers mistreat them and they seemed quite happy. The handlers seemed to treat them well enough. It was about 30 years ago. People in these countries have a completely different outlook on these things they don't place much value on the lives or wellbeing of animals.
