  1. I agree. I saw the tartan specials a couple of times, and they were truely awful. Ted Christopher is good though.
  2. Maggie Mays would be a decent shout for the Thurdsday night - bands a re usually decent, decent beer and a decent pub. And fairly central - Argyll Street.
  3. Nothing wrong with the Iron Horse - In my opinion, usually have a good hour or 2 in there before heading to the Ferry. Going to the Barras this time as it's handy for Celtic Park. Plenty of decent boozers to choose from.....and most will have a good atmosphere. Horseshoe is usually decent too.
  4. Barrowlands tickets are Ticket Scotland, not Tickermaster - £7.50 a ticket. Looking forward to this one!
  5. For match day the Barrowlands is where we are going - I think it opens at 12.00. Live music, 15 minute walk to Celtic Park, and I believe that there will be a mix of Scottish and Irish Supporters there. Tickets are available on ticketmaster. Prior to that Iron Horse near the city centre is always busy - and open for drinks from 8.30am - we usually go there every Scotland home game! Usually a decent atmosphere.
  6. I would like to think footbal fan's culture has moved on dramatically since 1999.......Wembley being testimony to that! However, Glasgow is smaller, meaning rival fans will be mingling more.....
  7. This - my ONLY reason for attending the England game is due to the fact that I have never witnessed a home game against the auld enemy in the flesh, infact the Wembley game last year was my first Scotland England game. A purely selfish reason I know, but why should I miss out due to the SFAs incompetence!? I will however boycott the Gibraltar game. This is even more ludicliously overpriced than the England game in my opinion. I take this decision with a heavy heart as I have not missed a home qualifier for many a year. I trust that we will be able to hammer this team of nobodies regardless of the attendance - again another reason for choosing this game to make my stance. Thanks SFA, just thanks. That is all!
  8. I am not saying Rhodes should START every game, particularly away...but we must all agree that is is a pretty decent option off the bench?
  9. Fletcher could still have been deep to ping the cross ball, anya could still be there to receive the ball, and Rhodes would be in the same place as Maloney to finish....so I am guessing yes...Edit due to typo...
  10. Rhodes is a different player to Fletcher....Fletcher provides more, Good in the air, and has been fairly consistent in the premiership, but unlucky with injuries. No doubt about it rhough, Rhodes is a great finisher and instinctively gets into great positions. Could be a great partnership! I would play them both up to in the home games. I cannot split them as very different players, but for Rhodes to not be in the squad is a bit mental in my view, a great option off the bench if chasing a game?
  11. 4 of us booked here! Much cheapness - a private dorm for 4......2 nights. Looking forward to this trip!
  12. I agree. Absolutely no relevance.....I am still not sure what it's all about, and I must admit I don't want to know..
  13. You should use XBMC, good for streaming almost anything....and not a website as such....look it up...Great for laptops connected to tv! More of an app for your computer....than anything else.
  14. We have 2 of our toughest fixtures (if not the toughest) games over with in our first 3 games.........But we do need to make our home games against Ireland and Poland count.....
  15. I agreed with all of that - except Ireland - 2 x cup tie atmospheres and games........6 points are possible there, as are zero! Those 2 games are the most unpredictable and also the most key - certainly for us........
  16. 7 points from the next 3 games has to be our target - 7 or 9 and we have a great chance of 2nd place.......guaranteed 3 against Gibralter, 3, 4, 5 points would be deemed poor, 6 would be almost acceptable......
  17. Best player on the park......I think anyway.....Morrison a close 2nd, Maloney, Fletcher and Anya played well too - the full backs were certainly our weak links. Naismith's touch sometimes letting him down 9oh I so wish he had a first touch), Brown steady, Marshall mostly composed.........few failures tonight. Well played, I just wish that Robertson started and Bardsley was in the squad to be an option. Greer was steady enough, bought caught out sometimes - I would have liked to have seen Berra relace Hanley. But all in all - GOOD RESULT! 7 from the next 3 games has to be our target....
  18. Get in on your laptop/PS3/PS4 through NowTV and hook it up to your TV if you are able to.....
  19. Correct - and we have AT LEAST 2 that are better now!
  20. Whittaker has never been able to defend though and is always capable of giving possession away under no pressure - he is a horrible footballer. Again, as I said earlier, if it had been Bardsley then I would be happy enough with the decision. Inexplicably though, WGS selected Whittaker for these games though instead of the in-form Premiership player Bardsley.
  21. I would love it if he proved me wrong too, but I do not think he is talented enough, or indeed even capable at this level, unfortuantely!
  22. It MUST be an injury, as Whittaker is BOTH worse at defending and attacking than Robertson. In fact I would not even have Whittaker in the squad! If Bardsley waas in the squad and WGS picked Bardsley for his defending attributes then fine, but Whittaker.....FFS!
  23. Yep - must admit my early memories supporting Scotland are of King Kenny and his sublime skill! If only we someone near his calibre tonight! Saying that we are improving and I believe we can win!
  24. I just bought a sky TV pass for the first time through NowTV on my PS4 - and the picture is quality - agree though that apart from Gary Neville!!! King Kenny is on at 7pm though before the Scotland game! Bring it on!
  25. The annoying thing about the pricing is that if the ludicrously high prices continue then we could lose a whole generation of support..... The SFA need to wake up and finally admit the error of their ways!
