  1. If Alex Ferguson or Walter Smith don't want the job then we are f*cked in my opinion. If you don't ask you don't get. Sir Alex must be missing the game. Surely a wee part time job would not take him away from his family too much.
  2. Exactly what part of what I said justifies the statement "Full of Glue"? A listing of facts regarding KM's career? Other factual statements regarding our present situation, KM's pedigree in comparison to our other strikers, his current form and level of fitness or a factual statement regarding Roger Milla? So which of these statements justify your response? If your opinion is different on who should start up front then just say it. However, to call someone "full of glue" for making a series of factual statements just makes it look like you lack the intellect required to put together an intelligent argument.
  3. It was a joke mate, that is why I used the emoticon.
  4. Erm......... somebody who has scored against Italy, Germany and England and is presently fit and playing some of the best football of his career? Who could that be???
  5. Agree that Griffiths deserves a chance but because he is unproven I would prefer to see him get his chance to start, against decent opposition in a friendly (ideally), to see how gets on. Malta at Hampden would be a good game for him but may not tell us as much. The Lithuania game would have been a good shout for Leigh to start. But to throw him into such an important match (England) when he is unproven would be too big of a gamble IMO. Outside of Miller it would have to be Naismith or Fletcher. Miller with Naismith behind him in the hole flanked by Maloney and Anya would be my preference with Fletcher coming on later in the game for Miller. It may seem like a contradiction to say that Griffiths is not international class and then say he deserves a chance. For the record, I recognize that my opinion is not always right and I would be thrilled if Griffiths proved me wrong. To be fair, on his club form he deserves a chance. Just don't want to take the gamble in such a big match because he is unproven and I have my doubts about his ability to reproduce his club form at this level. Points are there for the taking against England if we get our selection and tactics right. Kenny has proven himself at this level, he is fit, in great form and IMO is arguably the best we've got. Appreciate your compliment to a "Rangers Player" in the comparison to Martin
  6. What is international class? Kenny Miller.......... see my post above for proof. Poor man's Leigh Griffiths The only thing embarrassing on this thread is your post above. Poor man's Leigh Griffiths
  7. Kenny has always been a big game player. Scored a winner against Man Utd and a last minute equalizer against Liverpool in the same season for Wolves (both happened when he was played through the middle). Unfortunately spent a lot of his time in the epl stuck out wide on the right. Scored against Galatasaray in the Turkish League. He has scored 9 goals in Old Firm matches. He has also scored goals in the Champions League proper for both Rangers and Celtic including a double against Benfica. Scored 18 goals for Scotland including against Germany, Italy, England, Ukraine, Norway and Austria. Played in an English League Cup Final. Top scorer for Wolves for 3 seasons in the championship, scoring 20 or more goals in 2 of those seasons. Has had two 20+ goal seasons in the SPL. Holds the SPL record for most goals scored in a match (4 inside the 1st 32 minutes). He is currently in good form and we simply do not have anyone in his position who comes even close to his pedigree. Now is the time to win games, not experiment with strikers unproven at international level. If that means calling up someone who is has proven he can do the business at that level who just happens to be playing some of the best football of his career to give us a better chance to get a result in just one game then it is the right call IMHO. This is not a time to build for the future, it is all about getting points now to help us to qualify for the world cup. Roger Milla scored 4 goals in the world cup finals at 38 and returned 4 years later to score again. Kenny is younger at 36 and is jumping out of his skin at the moment, probably fitter than any of our current strikers.
  8. All about opinions mate, I would start Miller over Martin every day of the week. What is international class? Someone who has already proven themselves against decent international or Champions League opposition! Miller, Naismith and Fletcher have proven that they can score goals at this level. Fletcher v Poland, Naismith against Spain, Poland and others, Miller..... too many to mention, his goal against England (not that long ago) was class, turned his marker inside out before finishing brilliantly. Who has Griffiths ever scored against that you could say was decent opposition at this level. He is a decent SPL striker who can score regularly at that level when he is playing for a team that creates a ton of chances against far weaker opposition. IMHO he is not a guy who will be able to replicate that against decent/good International or Champions League opposition. I would play Naismith in the hole against England with Miller and Fletcher sharing the 90 minutes up top. Maloney on the right of Naismith and Anya on the left. Naismith and Maloney with the freedom to switch positions as they wanted.
  9. I'd take Miller in a heartbeat for the England game if his form continues. He has always said that he would answer the call if really needed. Was always a fan of Strachan but fear he has totally lost the plot recently. Time for him to get back to the players who have performed at international level before. I'd be happy with Miller up top with Maloney, Naismith and Anya playing in behind him. Maloney was our best player last campaign, Naismith has been involved in 2 games recently for Norwich and scored in both. Griffiths is not, nor will he ever be international class. Snodgrass needs to get back to his pre injury form and Burke is still a bit raw but with a lot of potential for the future. Would be happy to see Mulgrew back in the squad over Greer, Bardsley included as one of our full backs. Not sure about Charlie Adam's current form? Dissapointed Brown is no longer available. The best players should always be picked. How Martin starts and Naismith does not even make the bench, I'll never understand. Good players can come in and do a job even if they have not been playing week in, week out. Hutton is an example of this. He had some decent performances for us when he was out of the Villa team (not talking about his disastrous performance against Poland away).
  10. Enjoy the match, I hope we are both cheering at the end of it. Said my piece and got it off my chest, I'm all about the love now
  11. I love you too ET, I'll tell the boys you are asking fur them
  12. I'm all about the love. I can forgive and move on. Nothing would make me happier than to see a Scotland support as one
  13. It has been a slice gentlemen (and I use the term loosely) but I have a game to watch and a team to support .... SCOTLAND! I will leave those of you who hate Rangers more than you love Scotland to get on with your obsession. It has been fun wrestling with the intellectual giants that are ET and vaderaark
  14. , Aye ET, we must all be the same. FF and RM represent all Rangers supporters. No chance that any of us could be non bigoted lovers of the Scotland team.
  15. Totally outed mate, condoning abuse of fellow Scotland supporters based on the club they support and the best you can do is bring it back to the Rangers stereotype again. You have completely shown yourself up for what you are by your answer to my question but I have made a fool of myself because you say so? This is so easy, I am actually feeling sorry for you. You must face some special challenges if you think I look foolish after our exchange. Does your carer know that you are on mate?
  16. I have been a Scotland fan, for well over 40 years and always will be, I am going no where. You will never win, It is our national team too and a minority of haters will never drive the majority of us out as hard as you try. According to your own "TAMB" poll taken a few years ago, we still make up far more of the support than any other group with Celtic coming a distant 2nd. Probably why you feel comfortable dishing out abuse and calling people huns on a small message board, safe behind your keyboard where you get backing from other "outed" haters like vanderaark. Doubt very much that you do it when you are amongst the regular Scotland support.
  17. Exactly, thank you for answering my question, providing the truth and proving my point. If you "don't see anything wrong" with coming on a Scotland supporters site and singling out one club as cheats and inferring that fellow Scotland supporters are "foaming at the mouth orange bigots" because of the club they support you are condoning those statements. You are saying that you don't see anything wrong with the abuse and alienation of one clubs supporters from a support that is supposed to be welcoming and inclusive. What you have said in the past is now irrelevant. You have totally outed yourself my friend. Sure did not take much effort on my part, you are hardly an intellectual giant. Cheerio, back to my family time
  18. Is "fenian" a slight criticism to a catholic or a Celtic supporter? Is the "N" word a slight criticism to a black guy? You want to dehumanize one group of people so that they are not afforded the protection of other groups and deem that terms they find offensive are not offensive because you said so?
  19. Ok, so let's say you are right and I am wrong and your treatment of all Scotland supporters regardless of who they support is fair and welcoming. If that indeed is the case, you should have absolutely no problem what-so-ever answering the question. Do you condone or condemn these posts on a Scotland Supporters site? There is only 2 choices, which is it?
  20. Simple question but you can't answer it because it will reveal the truth that you are trying to deny.
  21. You have Armitage Shanks justifying the treatmentment Rangers fans because their club "cheated and have yet to apologize" and Ersats Thistle associating a Scotland supporter with the "frothing at the mouth orange bigots" on Rangers Media because of the club he supports. Do you condone or condemn these posts on a Scotland Supporters site? There is only 2 choices, which is it. The answer to this tells everyone all they need to know about the truth. Either you are someone who welcomes all to support Scotland or you are someone who condones alienating supporters based on the club they support.
  22. No i did not even look back, I have a good memory. Takes me 2 minutes at a time to come on here and respond to your crap. Deflect, deflect, deflect. You have failed to answer the question. Just answer the question; Do you condone or condemn these posts on a Scotland Supporters site? There is only 2 choices, which is it.
  23. Hun is it? Funny how on here some posters get to decide if "Hun" is offensive to Protestants or Rangers supporters. Do others get to decide if "Fenian" is offensive to Catholics or Celtic supporters. Do others get to decide if the 'N" word is offensive to black people? The term "Hun" was used in Northern Ireland by IRA murder squads to describe protestants. Kill all Huns (KAH) was regularly painted on walls during the troubles and following executions of protestants. A banner with KAH was recently displayed at the most recent old firm game. So yes, given the history, I think it is sectarian and find it offensive. It is not the people who use the term against others that get to chose if it is offensive. It is the people who are called the name. To state otherwise is a massive double standard and inexcusable.
  24. I stand by what I said, you troll and harass Rangers supporters or anyone who defends the club on this site. Someone called you a cockend in this thread, you could not even respond to that without bringing Rangers into it. But for arguments sake lets look at 2 other posts on this thread.
  25. We will have to agree to disagree mate I am out of time.
