Max Johnston is a "used" sub most weeks, so he's definitely getting more game time than Ralston and Paterson.

I get that he's uncapped at senior level, but to say you have no idea why he should be near the squad is a bit daft, when right back is a significant problem area for us at the moment.

Johnston has played 359 mins of league football this season (1,172 mins in all comps). Ralston has played 789 mins (987 mins in all comps)

Johnston has featured in 14 league games, Ralston has featured in 13.

Ralston has 8 caps already, he's 100% ahead of Johnston on the pecking order. Might be different if Johnston was starting most weeks but he's mainly a sub for league games.

He's made a few (substitute) appearances recently. Granted I didn't actually check at what stage of the game he was coming on.  If no Hickey and Patterson still on the bench at Everton, my first choice would also be Ralston but he isn't currently getting a game at club level.

He's getting just about as much of a game as Johnston is. At least we know Ralston can fill that role with little game time.

I think Clarke has to take a bit of the blame for this if Hickey doesn't make it. He should have brought in a RB getting regular game time for their club. This situation wasn't unforeseeable.  If Max Johnston is doing OK, he should be drafted into the squad. I've seen he's making appearances but mainly as a sub.

Max Johnston can barely get a sniff at club level. No idea why he should be in the squad. Ralston has at least proven he can play at this level (even when not in the Celtic side) and if Hickey isn't fit i'd go with him.

I mean its a fkn 30,000 seat stadium between probably 1500 people going max.

    I think it'll be closer to 500 than 1500.

3rd place get EL play-off again?  Or is it Scottish winners 🏆

Hearts will, Killie (fingers crossed) will get the spot given to 3rd place. So Europa League 2nd Qualifying round then Conference play off if we lose that.

My bank balance is squirming at the thought of it weeks after Germany but you gotta do what you gotta do!

How about players not in action? When is the last time Nathan Patterson got any minutes for his club? Surely, he can't go if that continues. We'll probably end up with Ralston on the right as I'm still not convinced Hickey will be back. It could also be another plus to bringing Ryan Fraser as he's filled in there before.

This might be a totally left field shout but Danny Armstrong plays right wing back for Killie with a back 3.

Might have been a shout to test him out vs NI or even Finland.  He's certainly better at attacking than defending though and different level at international level. He'd certainly get us up the park and only MOR has more assists in the SPFL (although DA has created more chances)

Statement FCs latest statement is absolutely brilliant.

This coming from a club with utter vermin as fans, who shout sectarian abuse everywhere they go. The last time they were at Dens, they turned up half an hour late, their fans set off pyrotechnics, and their fans engaged in a paedophilic sexual assault on a kid in their own end.

But yes, Dundee FC have damaged our game.

Not often that a single person can effectively and accurately speak for an entire fan base, but I am pretty certain that I can here, Rangers FC can go fuck themselves, and then fuck themselves again.

You couldn't give them a red neck with a blow torch.

To be fair, his last cap was about two or three years ago - it's possible he's improved since then.

I'm not saying I'm in favour of him being called-up but if he was as bad as some people on here make out he wouldn't even be playing professional football, let alone playing regularly for an EPL team (albeit a crap one).

I'm not saying he won't have improved but some folk are rewriting history.

Oh dear.. Your mob are angels anaw !!! Let's all ignore the Huns and focus on Celtic... Hope we fuck you over at RP by the way.... HH

I've never once said Killie fans are angels.

I saw killie fans at New Year through stuff back into the Rangers end when it was thrown into our end at Ibrox. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I'm just an overgrown man child who is completely incapable of taking any criticism of his team.

Did Celtic fans launch missles at Lazio fans this season? Did Celtic fans throw bottles at Gerrard at Anfield? Simple yes or no answer. If the answer is Yes, then no idea how you can take the moral high ground now.

So the Celtic fans throwing bottles at Steven Gerrard after he scored a penalty in a charity match a year ago was just made up ?

There is no fucking false equivalence which is the point i was trying to make in my post

And as for "incapable of providing a secure environment" are you for real ?

As long as there is a Rangers and Celtic these things will happen

There are times when one side will be worse than the other but they will take turns at it

And this was 2 years ago when away fans were still allowed

They were exchanging bottles, flares etc over the segregation with Lazio fans only a matter of months ago. Selective memory springs to mind.

Here's a recent one at Parkhead.

Can't even believe there's Celtic fans with the brass neck to take a moral high ground on this subject.

Typical response. No surprise... Our physio was also bottled in the face last time at Ibrox, how soon we forget....

I've been hit with a coin at Parkhead. I also had the misfortune of being there the day you lost the league at RP in 2003. I can assure you, it was the worst display of scumminess i've ever seen from an away support. I've certainly seen more objects thrown at us in the away end at Ibrox than at Parkhead but Celtic certainly can't take the moral high ground here. There are a high degree of coked up weapons in your support currently too.

Looks like you will be at RP last game of the season and thank fuck i've a stag do.

Goat Fell was the first "big hill" I climbed back in September 2022.  It was a beautiful day and we made it up in about 2 hours.  Lovely wee lunch at the top and a chat with a few other people.  Within about 15 minutes on the way back down my right knee seized up and about 20 minutes later my left knee did likewise.  I literally got to the stage where I couldn't bend either knee and those boulders on the way down aren't easy to navigate when you have no flexibility in your legs!  I was walking like John Cleese for about 2/3 of the way down.  Having got up in decent time it took us almost 4 hours to get back down and was absolutely hellish!  I've done a lot of work on my legs since then but if I never see Goat Fell again it'll be too soon!

Ha, it's a harder slog than it looks!
