Just got confirmation that I've got tickets in the ballot for E3 vs E4 at the Stade De France. Wanting to get down there for the opening week, and worked out that (assuming we qualify) there's a 50/50 chance of being in the right place at the right time if picking the North or South of France. However, the South venues are well spread out, and planning wouldn't be easy, so going to take a gamble and book a week in Paris with a possible day trip to Lens.... We're staying at the King David Hotel. Checking in 3rd Sept and checking out on the 7th.

There are day trips run from Tbilisi to Armenia on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays by Envoy Tours. Can't think of many other scenarios where I'd find myself in Armenia, so could be a good opportunity to check it out and add one more country to the list.

Booked into the King David Hotel, £31 per person per night on booking.com, and it's rated number 6 out of 64 hotels in Tbilisi on Tripadvisor. No.12 boutique hotel might have been our top choice, but no twin rooms available.

All booked up! Driving Aberdeen to Glasgow on Tuesday 1st. Flying BA Glasgow to London, overnight stay at Heathrow. Flying BA Heathrow to Kiev on Wednesday 2nd, 24 hour stay there. Flying Ukrainian Airlines Kiev to Tbilisi on Thursday 3rd. Then doing it all in reverse on the 7th, taking in the Germany game at Hampden before driving back to Aberdeen. All in, £376 each including flights (some air miles used to bring prices down), hotels and airport parking.
