Im on that flight as well ..

  2. Havibg done over 100 courses each year for last 3 years ..was thinking it would be too difficult this year ..but February weather have mr the chance to get 9 in. Playing courses at winter rates that are much more expenive in summer ..so far ..Bradford (excellent) Heswall .way too expensive for an ordinary course ..Ringway near Manch airport ..seems to be home of footballers and against way too expensive for plain course..Northumberland Golf Club..lovely course with many holes in moorland in middle of Newcastle raccecouse..Headingley ..really good ..Scarcroft near Leeds excellent..Harrogate excellent ..Formby Ladies ..really good but the best was Ganton near Scarborough ..60 quid in winter .at leat double in summer ..some of the bunkers should have lifts instead of stairs ..brilliant but difficult .

  3. Instead of posting out a 1 pound ticket and then spending lots of time checking emails for travel arrangements and accommodation from us lot..why not make it 100 per cent pick up. Absolutely insane the way they go about things at times.

    😂😂

Whats your problem Dalgety apart from just being a fucking dick. I'll explain it once again since you seem to be a bit thick. No manager is going to tell a team or the players  to lose a  game ..but plenty of chairmen would have made it clear to a manager and consequently the manager would give the impression to the players that he wasn't that concerned. Now give it a rest with  your stupid smart arse comments

No, I’m not wet behind the ears. Of course your second attempt is much more likely to happen, chairmen want to ensure managers are aware the league is first priority. But that’s a mile away from your ludicrous suggestion that teams are told to deliberately lose.

I never said teams were told to lose. Quite possible that a chairman tells a manager to do his best to lose the game. Ive supported Blackpool before when Holloway was manager and when Blackpool were reaching play offs and in the Premier League ..they never tried a leg in any cup matches whether that was playing reserves or not.

Utter utter shite. You think a chairman goes off to a manager/players and says “Lose this game”? FFS.

I will defend it a bit. Yes too many teams use it for squad rotation but a few of those that do so have got their comeuppance in doing so. If you end up with say a Bristol City or a Portsmouth getting kind draws, possible considering how many PL teams are out, and they make it through next 2 rounds then they are one game from final. Games that the fans would remember for many years to come but no one will ever say to them “Aye but remember Watford made 11 changes in a game in 4th round....” in 10 years time.

Teams that’s use it for squad rotation are cheating their fans...but for every team who falls into that category there is another team and fans who will benefit.

You must be a bit wet behind the ears.  It might not come as a straightforward lose the game but many chairmen are solely concentrating on revenue (ie league position) and will make sure a manager knows where the priorities lie. Of course there are other teams that take it seriously and will benefit. The result of all this is that the best games take place before the third round.

  7. Earlier this month did an explore South Wales pass on the train for 69 quid juanting about on train during the day and staying 3 nights in Tenby.Newport and Llanelli going out checking the pubs at night.

Anyone done the Scotland pass. Probs going to do Glasgow to Mallaig ..boat to Skye ..bus to Portree for first night .then bus to Kyle of Lochalsh ..train to Inverness . Another day up to Wick and Thurso on the train ..then back down to Glasgow.

  8. Yeah got to be very careful on different forums(for a) as well. The Blackpool chairman sued folk on the fans' website for describing him in certain terms.

As for the actual charge sheet , there were far more than that against the bloke on Coronation Street who if I remember was found not guilty. Question for potential jurors - "Ever been to Ibrox?" The one sure thing is that the media and public scrutiny of this case will be massive and potentially more far reaching than Alex Salmond personally.

  9. I'm not normally keen on watching live telly matches but had to watch Talbot v Ayr. Loved it - raw, passionate - Talbot looked as though they were gonna get outplayed but they didn't half dig in and became stronger with wanting to win every 50-50 ball. Commentators seemed surprised by how calm Andy Leishman was in the Talbot goal but Ive seen him a few times against Kirky Rob Roy and to be honest he's as good as any goalie Ive seen in Scotland. Commands his box, great positional sense and makes some great saves.
Commentator  - "we apologise for any bad language" - pissin myself.

  10. I used to watch Blackpool for a number of years in the 1990s - was good fun going to away games as well like Bury, York etc - but when they made the stadium all seater stopped going to most matches. Went to all the play-off finals Blackpool were involved  in except for the last one. Once the Oystons took the Premiership money out the club, started running the playing side down and sued their own fans - most Blackpool supporters stopped going.

Nowadays I don't watch any live matches except going back to Scotland and watching Kirkintilloch Rob Roy in the Scottish Junior Cup. I love  watching the scores on a Saturday afternoon for my accumulators and spread betting.

Three absolutely horrible sets of fans - West Ham, Bristol City and Cardiff City.
