Having not long moved to Newcastle and renting a flat there, it struck me just how man y previous residents of the flat that there was mail for. Now considering the high percentage of no s in the postal vote, I wouldn't be surprised if any govt organisation was involved in checking how many people were on the electoral roll and didn't live at the address any more and said organisation could then use these postal votes.

Some shocking officiating in todays EPL.
The English Media are always loathe to criticise their officials and always like to trumpet them as the world's best. What a load of pish. Considering the head off refs is Mike Riley who is the worst Ive ever seen, Look at some of today decisions that were woeful..
Rob Green - handling outside the box - not spotted by linesman who was about 20 yards away.
Both Liverpool penalties - especially the first - shocker.
Smalling handball against Stoke ignored by ref - about three yards away.
Just a few examples but most of the fixtures shown on MOTD were riddles with poor officiating.

I think it would be dodgy in law if you are stopped in England and breathalysed to be in between limits. There is no proof that you were actually over the limit whilst in Scotland.

For me 2014 was a memorable year - the Scottish people were given the opportunity to ratify the 1707 Treaty of Union and Scotland's place in the UK.
If the result had gone the other way, I don't know what I would have done.

2 brilliant trips to Poland and one to Germany. Lovely wee holiday in Turkey. Change of jobs within company to permanent nightshift and move to Newcastle from Lytham St Annes.
Despite the referendum loss , I was invorigated and inspired throughout the year with this , and for me the momentum continues with hope and belief that it will happen. Looking forward to the GE and hopefully mass exodus from Labout to SNP. Could be worse - imagine being English and your hope lies with UKIP ffs.
All in all a year of change but by no means one of the worst - one of the better ones for me,.

It is mostly pish - but the Frank mcavennie "where's the burdz" gets me every time. best though was the Scotland fan in Kaunus who dressed up as mcavennie wi the teeth.

wee bonus on the spread betting. Took time of second goal at less than 64 mins but looked like it didn't accept my bet. Just then Hibs scored their first. So redid the bet a bit annoyed as then took time of second goal as 42 mins. After Hibs second goal it looks like accepted first bet - so decent profit . And against the Rangers as well - lets have a goal feast.

No snow here in Newcastle. Not sure whether English weather coverage reaches here. All these southerners can always batten the hatches and watch their boxed sets of Downton.

With working over the xmas period , Ive just not got into it all - first xmas on my own in Newcastle. Don tlike the build up with all the commercialism , poxy xmas carols in shops everywhere , shitey mulled wine and xmas markets . The telly is absolute pish and there is no sport . Enjoyed it when my kids were small but nowadays its overrated crap. At least I don't have to suffer big family gatherings where there is at least one twat (normally me).
So to make up for it and since I'm on a day off - cooking a lovely roast duck , sprouts, turnip and potatoes gratin - followed by Pina Colada cake with Mackies ice cream (not politically correct - but its xmas!) .
Laptop on for games of poker , TAMB forum , bit of burding on internet dating - and topped off by my friends for the day - a case of Boddingtons.
Actually come to think of - this xmas lark isnae bad at all - as long as it stays a Cliff Richard free zone - happy xmas from a normally miserable bugger anyway.
Boxing day much better - some football and a bit of decent horse racing.

woke up in a strange bedroom at four o'clock in the morning after a night out on internet dating - burd had nearly all the covers and her head was under them - next thing she left rip with the loudest , squelchiest fart imaginable - one that Id have been proud of letting go myself - but she remained asleep even thought he met office would have registered it on the richter scale - people in Blackpool would just have put it down to fracking taking place.
I'm lying there amazed that she's still asleep when I felt something against my side and looked down - a fooking set of false teeth - for a minute I was dreading it was flure or mario next to me - but the teeth just freaked me out. In true News of the World investigators , I made my excuses and left - actually I scarpered.
If Id known her teeth came oot - I might have gone for the blow job the night afore.

Despite all the hullaballoo before the England game about how we could win etc - I'm quite sure Strachan didn't give a toss about this game. He played the same team for a while that played against the republic and almost to a man no-one performed. Look at the difference between Scott Brown in games that matter and this game against England where he was hardly trying a leg.
Game should just be consigned to the dustbin - we move in as if it never happened.

If id returned to flat and one of the three kids wasnt there..id have thought that she had got up and come looking for me. Why on earth would someone assume that their kid had been taken ..just not natural. I just think its all strange that the police have spent millions following spurious lines of enquiry and virtually none closer to home.

Ffs turned over for Match of the Day to be confronted by this pile of crap. Clare Balding, Lineker, Gabby Logan , Gareth Bale and even Donkey Gobbler himself - makes you want to peuk - followed by team of the year - England womens rugby team - aye fooking right. Token Scot award to Brit Chris Hoy.
Only moment there worth watching was Arthur Montford coming up on obituary list to the backdrop of Loch Lomond playing.

Just been watching BBC news report on police questioning of suspects in Portugal. First of all the reporting is disgraceful - BBC trying as far as they can to insinuate that Robert Muhrat is responsible . Where is the evidence to back this up apart from the fact that he was a suspect. Surely the main suspect would have been a bit closer to home but I think there is a complete Establishment cover up going on here for some reason - why on earth waste so called scarce police resources on this wild goose chase.

I wouldn't call it far ahead politically Bzzzz - just depends on what your politics are - bit agree completely about difference in social attitudes - this lot down south just veering dramatically to the right - all we ever hear is immigration , tax cuts , benefit scroungers. I despair about what England is becoming. Quite a nasty nation developing.

So depressing politics in England - I am so far removed from all these people with the exception of Russell Brand's opinions. But there is no party in England anywhere near representing these views. Labour are pathetic - so hope come next election that SNP become the voice to represent the ordinary man/woman in the street.

I like Gordon Strachan , Alex Salmond, Jeff Stelling, Dan Walker who presents some of the BBC football is good. I like real ales , donner kebabs and a cheeky wee Chablis.
But c'mon Phil Neville is absolutely fooking rank at co-commentary.
