That's not a problem exclusive to the SSC, it happen with all ticketing agencies. If someone has tickets in their basket and they take too long to process the transaction they will be kicked out and any tickets are back on sale

I was meaning the whole ticketing issue is a fucking shambles by the sfa  -why no emails? then the site isn't working and ticket sale delayed.

  2. I was on nine points before I renewed. Didn't get any emails from sfa re ticket sale  - tried earlier in week when site wasn't working. Just got a message from a mate saying tickets sold out . First time I tried today it said sold out -just tried again and was able to buy one. What a fucking shambles

  3. Funny how Scotland's decent results tended to coincide with when Broon was in the team . Look at last campaign - excellent start when he returned to the team , then he was sorely missed in Slovenia. I was chatting to Stephen Crainey a while back and he was bigging up Broon as a great player to play with - never liked playing against him but he pointed out what a great player he was when his team were in possession. You just have to watch how he's always the man available for a pass and then combative in defence (albeit sometimes a wee bit too combative). I think he will be sorely missed - especially alongside Armstrong in the middle .

My best memory of him was passing the Scotland squad at baggage reclaim in Dublin Airport - I asked Broon if he'd smile for a photo - then comes a wee pyscopathic grin.

Didn’t see the programme but visited Bamburgh a while ago and can’t believe Northumberland isn’t as well visited or known as the Lakes or Cornwall. Beautiful place with a stunning beach and what looks like a fairy tale castle.

This is a nice walk.  http://www.theaa.com/walks/bamburghs-coast-and-castle-420337

I played Bamburgh Castle golf course last year. Aside from being a cracking course , the views from high up on the course are fantastic. My favourite part of England is the North Yorkshire coast from Saltburn down to Bridlington including Whitby ,Scarborough and Filey. I worked at Butlins Filey in 1979 - love the whole area. Whitby is a fantastic town .

  5. I enjoyed seeing the different walks but just ignored the ranking - it was always going to be where the people have gone most. Considering the voting population in England - there would be a much higher percentage who have gone walking in the Lakes rather than Scotland.

My favourite walk last year was part of doing the North Coast 500 playing golf at different places.  2 rounds of golf round the nine hole Durness course (fantastic views of Balnakeil beach , bay , the surrounding lochs and hills -followed by a walk around Balnakeil beach to the headland - just stunning  -but being very remote it would never be in any populous vote. Best view of my whole trip round the Highlands though was Plockton - sat on the sea wall with a bag of chips.

I have been inspired by the program to possibly do a couple of the walks in the North West of England.

I’m the same - depart Edinburgh on the Sunday for Istanbul, two nights there as I’ve never been to Turkey then onto Tel Aviv on the Tuesday. Fly home on the Friday Air France via Paris 👍🏼

I'm still considering the Air France flight to Paris , then to Birmingham or Manchester on the Saturday or Sunday. But with Paris being close enough and been there quite a few times , I'm still favouring Athens. I stayed in Istanbul for one night before flying on to Tbilisi for the Georgia game. Its the most visually stunning city Ive seen - great for a wee jaunt on the different ferries across the Bosphorus. Didn't realise its five times the size and population of London.

  7. Flying out Sunday from Stanstead to Istanbul on the Sunday. Istanbul to Tel Aviv on the Tuesday. Istanbul stunning city. 86 quid with Pegasus airlines.

Checking on skyscanner ..a lot of multi .city trips coming in cheaper than direct for the way back. Defintely getting out of Israel on the Friday before it shuts doon for the Sabbath ..just waiting to pick somewhere on way back. Athens looks a decent option so far ..but probs going to wait and see if the low cost airlines reduce their prices out of tel aviv .

  8. Looks like the whole country almost shuts down. Might be aiming for late afternoon flight out of there on the Friday but getting to the airport by lunchtime.

  9. Booked my flights out to Israel - Sunday - Stanstead to Istanbul - 2 nights there - stunning city  then fly to Tel Aviv on the Tuesday - £86.  ill book the return leg later in the year when I can decide where to have a night on the way back. Favourite at moment is either Paris or Athens.

  10. Glasgow to Budapest via Munich with Lufthansa on the Sunday - back to Glasgow via Frankfurt with Lufthansa on the Thursday £192 return. Been to Budapest twice - once before travelling by train to Zagreb for Croatia match and the other before travelling by ain to Bratislava for Slovakia match. Love the city - been hoping for a Scotland match there. Been to 2 of the baths Szechenyi and Rudas  -both brilliant - might check out some of the other ones. Would recommend the Trofea Grill buffet restaurants - its 20 euros - you are allowed 3 hours there and as well as some cracking food includes beer, wine, fizzy wine and apparently cocktails.

  11. Kirkintilloch Rob Roy since I was a nipper. Missed us winning the Junior Cup in 1962 as I was only 11 months and nobody took me. Saw us lose 2 junior cup finals - once in 1969 to Cambuslang Rangers and then in 1977 to Kilbirnie Ladeside. Didn't see many games from 1979 onwards as I played rugby for Lenzie  and then moved to England in 1984. Came back up for any significant junior cup matches and go and watch when I'm back in Kirkintilloch. My dad has been on the committee for 40 odd years and was manager for 2 seasons in 1978-1980. Senior sides used to loan out their players and remember answering the phone to Jock Wallace and Davie Hay when they were Rangers and Celtic managers respectively. Used to have a brilliant social club at the old ground Adamslie with some cracking acts on there - eg Hector Nichol.
