The Kazakhs have proven to be tough to break down. I do feel though we will be the only motivated side in these matches and should really be hoping for wins. Not sure though...

Winning in Cyprus would almost guarantee third place as long as we don’t lose to Kazakhstan but if we draw our last two games we’ll finish fourth (assuming Kazakhstan win in San Marino and Belgium beat Cyprus).
Russia won 0-5 last night but they only beat Cyprus 1-0 at home. They also pumped us 4-0 last week. I don’t think we can use their victory last night to assume we won’t lose in Cyprus.
Agree, but the Russians should have won 4 or 5 nil in the home game with Cyprus, they were woeful with finishing chances. I remember there was a thread here and the stats showed Russia had close to 30 shots on goal and 1 goal.
I'm not sure how we will go with Cyprus, Cyprus now have nothing to play for given they have been eliminated. We are building for the play offs and should be more motivated for the remaining games. -

Golovin, Dzyuba, Fernandes, Cheryshev, (Didn't play in the two matches with us) are all class. -

I remember seeing English fans throwing chairs, pissing all over the streets and throwing coins at "Gypsies" when I was in France for Euro 2016.
The group of Bulgarian fans deserve no sympathy or respect. I do find all this stuff ironic though. -
@exilegood post very true. I said from day 1 we didn't have much hope in this group. Belgium was obvious, Russia has pedigree.. Quarters of the World Cup, regularly find ways to make tournaments, players who have UCL experience and experience in the knockout rounds of the UCL and going far in the Europa League on numerous occasions. Those type of players have seen it all before.
It's interesting.. when i was in Russia for the World Cup a lot of fans would tell me the national team had become a laughing stock after Euro 2016, constant memes and jokes about them. Their coach managed to really motivate the team to shut up their critics and they have not stopped since. At the World Cup they only lost to Uruguay (in a 90 minute game), nations League Sweden, Euro 2020 qualifiers Belgium. Look at their manager he looks and sounds intimidating. Takes no shit. Some of their best players would miss selection if he felt they were half assing it.
I don't know how they will go at Euro 2020 but they always find a way to make tournaments, it is a big mental edge.

Based on ranking. We are 29th in Europe which sneaks us into Pot 3 for now. Final two games will determine if we stay there.

Why anyone would want to take the job is mind boggling. A team that on their best day is average, an atrocious qualifying record and a fan base that has blamed the managers for the past 21 years of failure.

We are defending quiet well. Russia had a few decent chances but they haven't been able to create as much as what I saw from the other games.
