Alas no. Or maybe that's a relief for the bartender. My old wingman, who'd loan me his denim jacket because I was convinced it made me look 18, passed away -- and we were reminiscing about the Burnt Post. The thread showed up as a top result for the Image Search. Now I'm binging on nostalgia - I've been in Seattle and the US for nearly 20 years. Anyway buzzkill aside, this thread is full of very happy memories for me. And a few total blackouts probably too. Cider and Southern Comfort. What was I thinking?

I had a crush on the blond bartender at the Burnt Post in the late eighties maybe 1990. She was out of my league but I just saw Captain Marvel's new haircut and had a flashback. I used to wear my Paul's denim jacket because I was convinced it made me look old enough to get in. My student union card had a misprinted red star (younger than 18) which was probably more effective than denim. But the jacket was my insurance policy.
