If they are so concerned with his safety, don't play them in lower leagues which tend to be much more physical

Absolutely agree. Rangers especially have pushed for B teams in the cup and lower league. Then they get a taste of what those lower leagues can be like and it is a complete melt down.

Just seen the tackle on Lowry and it looks a shocker. Whilst we want to keep the physical nature of the game, we don't want skillful players being driven out or having their careers ended by hammer throwers. Really shouldn't be that difficult to achieve.

Lowry was being Billy Big Bollocks the whole game, being an absolute dick towards the Dumbarton players, especially the keeper and winger, both as young as he is.

You pull that in nonsense at league two level and there is only going to be one ending. Hope the kid is okay and has learned his lesson.

Saturday was the first i've seen him in the flesh - absolutely dreadful, don't know why Danny Lennon signed him, he played him as the main striker & moved David Goodwillie (the best striker in the country outwith the premier league) out wide to accommodate him, utterly baffling.

To be fair to the big man, he tries hard and might occasionally do something to make you think there is a footballer in there. But having watched most Dumbarton game last season I can tell you there definitely isn’t!

I agree on Goodwillie, a huge threat when played in the right position. Lennon appears to have lost the plot.

Good luck for the rest of the season, and apologies to everyone else for taking the thread off at a tangent.

Seating Arrangements: Home supporters will be seated at the North end of the Main Stand, whilst away supporters will be seated in the South end. The central section of the Main Stand will be closed as this area is required to seat substitutes and backroom staff of both teams.

Kiosks: There will be no food and drink kiosks open for this game. Fans are permitted to bring snacks and drinks, but these must be placed into paper cups before entry. Bottles need to be opened in front of stewards.

Restrictions: Strict social distancing precautions are in place inside the stadium. Please make sure you sit within your own household bubble keeping 4 seats and 1 row away from others. When moving around the stadium please keep a 1 metre distance from others. Follow all instructions from stewards and staff on the day. Face coverings are mandatory inside the stadium and should not be removed during the match.

The Clyde View: Issue 3 of the club's award-winning matchday programme will be on sale, priced at £3.

Not been to a home match since March 2020 - The above is a fuckn joke, no kiosks, wear a fuckn mask during the match, it's a Clyde game FFS, way over the top IMO, still going though and i'll bet the vast majority remove their face masks 👍

I’m guessing you wish you had stayed in the house! All of the above nonsense, and then you have to watch big Bobby Jones play.

An absolute pen to Dumbarton in the first half not given too

    A wins a win though.....

No idea why that wasn’t given.  Anyone able to shed any light on the referee’s thinking?

Anyway, a decent defensive performance from the Sons but obviously no complaints about the final result.

Our problem is that our league form is dire and unless we start scoring and picking up points relegation Is a certainty.

I could be totally wrong but here is my take...

The Republican Party establishment does not want Trump. After the first couple of primaries they will put huge pressure on all but one (no sure who that will be yet) candidate to drop out. In a head to head Trump then loses.

On the Democrat side it is a two horse race, but Hillary has the Democrat establishment on her side, so barring some sort of scandal she wins over Bernie.

In the presidential election Trump may stand as a third party candidate. He splits the republican vote and Clinton wins.

Even in a two horse race (Hillary vs establishment republican with no Trump) I think this campaign might have damaged the Republican Party so much among Hispanic voters that they can't win.

Well that single post was the beginning and the end of my career in political forecasting.

I think the bit in bold is interesting, though.  I would still say they did not and do not want Trump.  But even now, after he has lost the WH, Senate and the House, he and his base still have a huge amount of power over the GOP. Maybe they are the GOP now.

As I said I don't know but neither is there evidence there are a few hundred. Given I know very few people personally who have had Covid, around 5 in fact and one of them is in this position I think it will be more than a few hundred.

And in fact it might turn out to be more because I don't know how well they are all recovering.

I know around 50 or so people who have had COVID and none of them have, to my knowledge, long term health issues.

Of course, this proves nothing except that anecdotal evidence is not particularly reliable.

There's no value (for me) if you think the polls are roughly correct. Florida and Ohio i think Trump will get, the other two i don't know.

Ohio is an interesting one.  Trump needs to win, I don’t think he has any realistic path to victory without it.  Biden does not need to win it, but he chose to go and campaign their yesterday, so has campaign obviously thinks he has a solid chance.

I'm not a fan of Gladwell the books i've read of his have shown a very shallow understanding of the subject he was trying to talk about specifically the 10,000 hour rule, a truly terrible interpetation of one really bad experiment about muscians with a tiny sample size and a huge variation of results grafted onto elite sport. that was then used to justify his theory. No idea about Blink as never read it, but outliers is a horrendous piece of pop-science.

I agree with this.  Although reading Outliers did then lead to me reading The Sports Gene by David (not Jeffrey) Epstein, which is an excellent book.

I daren't tell you how many times I've seen The Cure for fear of upsetting you.

I first saw them in 1992 but they've been on another level for the past 15 years. Outstanding.

They've been working on a new album. Seemingly they were finalising it when lockdown kicked in.

I would expect it to be out this year.

I would have expected them to tour this autumn had Coronavirus not reared it's head, so I fully expect a tour in 2021.

Rich, thanks, good to hear. Will be first in line for tickets if they make it to the US.  I really only have myself to blame for not seeing them sooner.

Ironically, my sister who dislikes The Cure and has the worst taste in crap pop music, has seen them live before.
