There's plenty of cash so what's the hold up from BR in terms of making signings?

Celtic have guaranteed CL groups and a bit of cash to play with. They may not be the draw they uses to be but they are playing against Europe's elite in front of 60k people.

Just found out Kobyashi is injured as well 😂

I’ve no idea what is going on with our recruitment. The suspicion is we are shopping in the EPL market again and as a result are probably waiting on squads being finalised but as it stands we are miles short and have left ourselves a lot to do in 10 days or so 🤷🏼‍♂️

I thought it was a penalty real time. Anybody thats played football could see that from the way the players went down. Both were holding their feet quite seriously which suggests solid contact. Only Dessers was swinging his foot hard so it follows that he initiated contact. If he had got there 1st and Broadfoot had caught him then neither him nor Broadfoot would have been in such pain. Thats the 1st thing that the ref should bave been thinking.

That being said, I can see why the ref took his time to award as the video wasnt the clearest and looked like only 1 angle was shown which was probably the worst angle.

The issue is that the bar for penalties against Rangers is set very high vs the prolific amount of soft penalties they are awarded. The facts over a long period of time back that assertion up.

Think this will be a tough match for us on Sunday, few injuries and that shit plastic pitch. Killie starting the season well anaw...

A defeat wouldn’t be a huge surprise but I think we’ll just about get through. Even if we do go out it shouldn’t be a cause for concern, we’re just not ready at the moment. If we get to the end of the window and we still haven’t sourced the 3 first team starters we obviously need then that is negligence and that will be a different matter!

  4. Two great results from the Embra lot last night 👏

I watched the jambos game and they did really well after a horror start and 15 minutes of hoofball! Once they recovered their composure they looked well capable although I thought they were going to baws it after Boyce went off.

Obviously the Villa tie is almost certainly unwiinnable for Hibs but it should be a gid money spinner for them. The jambos will have a chance against PAOK but I don’t fancy them away in the heat of the 2nd leg unless they can smash it at Tynecastle 👍

That’s the type of signing I’d expect us to make in recent years! Surely if you’re going to sign Fraser you’re as well just giving Forrest a run out every now and then?!

    I know! 🙈

Pacey wingers tend to deteriorate pretty quickly in their 30’s and as you rightly point out we’ve already got one of our own.

It’s a hard no for me to this one!

I honestly didn't expect that reaction from any celtic supporter. I think he would be a good signing if he screws the nut.

    Yous fuckin sign him then!

Hes 29, has a bad attitude and hasn’t kicked a ball in months. If he is in any way meant as a replacement for Jota it’s a joke. I know there are still a couple of weeks left and the level we are trying to operate in is more difficult but we better have something better than this up our sleeve.

I’d honestly rather spend the wages we are going to be paying this waster on the young kid at Motherwell everyone is talking about. Unless it something to do with upping our number of homegrown players for Euro squads I don’t get it at all on any level.

Scales with Mcdonald at the back would make a huge difference to that team.

I'm probably about to jinx the lad but Morris looks like a different player, he was utter dung last season but he made an arse of taylor today until he ran out of steam.

Robson should have brought on 2 subs for Morris and polvara as both were dead on their feet, that's my only complaint for today. Can't fault the effort

Taylor has been utter dug meat all summer. We seriously need to upgrade in that position. I’m not buying the rumours that Tierney is coming back but that’s the sort of change I could get on board with. Time to replace Joe Hart as well, he’s done fine for us but if we go into the CL with Hart & Taylor we’ll make a James Hunt of ourselves! 😂

Me neither, just not sure if thats a price Spurs would pay.

He is a strange one for me. On his day is very very good. Other times he looks like games pass him by.

If his head has been turned then taking the money would make sence. Even if its a lower starting amount with bigger add ons.

Could actually see clubs like Everton, Palace etc being interested if he is available.

I like him a lot, I’d rather he stayed but if his head is gone fuck it! Cheque please!

Impacts whoever finishes 3rd arguably as much if not more.

The guarenteed millions for group stage football is huge for teams like Hearts last year and Aberdeen this year.

I fancy Aberdeen for 3rd this season. I know they won last week and did alright in Norway last night but I have a feeling that the Naismith/McAvoy tenure isn’t going to go well. Hibs are up and down like a prostitutes knickers so who knows with them. They could be anywhere between 4th & 7th imo!

Teams generally dont chase players these days without contract terms etc already being agreed with the players agent.

There is zero chance of Kane saying no now unless Bayern change the terms of the offer which they have no reason to.

Might be missing something but why would this trigger a Hatate purchase? They dont play in same position?  Does Slasher mean Kyogo?

    No he doesn’t.

The Kane deal will more than double Spurs alleged transfer budget. I think Hatate is the only Celtic player Ange would come back for. Now that he has a bit more moulah to play with I think he may well do so. Even if he doesn’t, it looks like Caicedo might be off to Liverpool which will probably mean Brighton sniffing about.

Hatate has looked and sounded like someone whose head is already somewhere else all pre-season. He’s either been tapped up or told by his agent a move is coming. I’m already resigned to losing him even if no one else is. As long as we have suitable replacements lined up it’s fine but as I mentioned earlier, this window is getting increasingly complicated for us and things done in haste sometimes don’t go the best 🤷🏼‍♂️
