  1. Not a problem Scott and thats you added to the list FINAL 15 SEATS LEFT .............. and when they're gone, they're gone! BUS FIVE 53 Seats thefatcontroller 2 castle douglas mcfc 3 DoubleSC 2 scot scotland scottish 2 doonhameronthedon 2 TheOnlyPar 2 Bloo Skies 2 jimmythefish 1 TARTANGRAEME 2 Tartantammy33 2 Craggers 6 jcs 2 grannie alba 2 cal234ey 2 Ponderlaw 2 shameless stan 1 Shotts56 3 Anyone else needing seats, please just add names to the list and I'll update in the order they are posted. Cost confirmed as £3.20 per seat return - please see full details of travel and payment process HERE Paul
  2. Hi all and thanks for requests for seats made and confirmed on the original thread – don’t worry, just cause you’ve asked for a seat, doesn’t mean you’re committed to it! Anyone wanting a seat, post on the original thread please As requested by a few people, who want to get it out of the way, please find below the formal part, i.e. payment and confirmation. Seat Cost and Payment Timeline Firstly, as the exchange rate has varying since the original posting, the full and final cost in GBP will be £3.20 per seat (Originally estimated as £3.00) Payment needs to be made on or before Friday the 22nd of July – as the payment needs to be made to the coach company during the first week of August, so this allows for a little leeway, just in case! Please remember that any excess monies, once all payments have been received and the bus company has been paid, will be donated to the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal – no one travels for free. NOTE - should your plans change after you've paid for your seat(s), you can either swap the name (telling me so of course!) and/or if I can resell the seat(s), I'll refund you your payment Payment will (ideally) be by PayPal - Why? This keeps it separate to my own bank account – transparency is key in my eyes! If you could make the payment using the ‘Friends and Family’ option, this means no charges for either of us. However, if you prefer to send using the ‘Goods and Services’ option, you’ll need to increase your payment to ensure the amount that reaches me, is the amount I’m advising. This is something for YOU to decide and not for me to tell you. Payment Process Payment via PayPal to deerus.ps@gmail.com When you are making your payment, you will need to include your name (Ideally, if space permits, your full name and TAMB name) in the message box and of course, how many seats you’re booking For example Paul Smith (DeeRus) x 4 In addition to this, I will need you to ALSO email me, to the same address as you’ve made the payment too, with full names of the people you’ve paid the seat(s) for. Can you also include a contact phone number of yourself or whoever your lead person will be please. Once you’ve emailed me, I’ll double check that the payment has been received and I’ll also confirm your seats as well as my contact details for on the day. Note - I'm on holiday the 2nd and 3rd weeks in July but will endeavor to reply as quickly as possible once payments are made. If you are aware of others you’d like to be on the same coach as, please advise the lead name (TAMB and/or ’real name’) and I’ll do my best to accommodate everyone’s requests. I’ll not issue the bus listed till the middle of August, to allow for all requests to come in. HELP!! I’d very much appreciate if anyone is willing to be a Bus Steward (no more than counting the people on and off the bus) – if you are, please drop me a line and thanks in advance. TRAVEL TIMES AND PICK UP/DROP OFF POINTS I’ve contacted and have 100% confirmation with the owner of this bar that we can party here, which is large enough to cater for, the circa 250 of us travelling: Surfside Bar and Grill Tower Road, Sliema, Malta Depart at 18.15 SHARP (Buses will be there from around 18.00) to the Ta' Qali National Stadium (Kick off time is 19.45) Return straight after the game (leaving no later than 22.00, so please be there or we’ll leave without you) and back to the bar. The bar will stay open for as long as people want served ………… I’ve suggested they may want to revisit that statement!! The bar is split over a couple of levels and whilst they are adamant they will be able to cater for our ‘drinks demands’ and not have a delay in getting the drinks served, I’m also in discussions for them to put in a can/bottle bar on the lower floor. They’ve agreed to make a donation from the day to the Sunshine Appeal, based on increased sales and there being the 250 of us, i.e. trade they’d not be able to count on usually – as opposed to making a payment to the organiser, which is not what this is about, its about getting us to/from the stadium, for no personal gain. I’ll be able to post more specifically what they’ll be doing on the day, nearer the time The coach company have also confirmed that will be picking us up/dropping us off in the vicinity of the bar. Sorry for the length of the posting but I’m hoping that covers off all possible questions and helps you understand what you need to do and what I’m doing at this end. Hope that works for everyone but feel free to post/contact as required. Thanks, Paul
  3. Not sure how widely known this but just in case: If you buy directly from the website, you can get a cheaper priced ticket - still an open ticket, so no worries should you be delayed Stansted Express Paul

  5. Re the sales via Carrefour A friend of mine drove to the nearest store selling them and he's advised as follows: The tickets were already printed out and other than picking your row/seat from the tickets they had, there was no choice The tickets this store had were only the €60 ones, for the same stand our €60 tickets are allocated - we agreed to hold off and buy when the on-line sales start

  9. Sorry but no Wasn't really wanting to go to 5 coaches as it is but adding in a diversion, which isn't on the route to the stadium, is not an option I'm afraid Happy to send you the bus company details if you fancy sorting out a coach yourself? Paul
  10. Quick update Based on the feedback we've been given, the fixing is no longer a butterfly but a brooch (pin) fixing No change in cost as the manufacturer has offered to take up the additional cost, since its for a good cause

  19. Putting others before myself, is a cross I have to bear
  20. Against my better judgement, I’ve asked the coach company about the possibility of another coach, making that 5 X 53 seat coaches I’ve only just asked but based on the order of when the requests were received, both posted on this thread and via PM, this is the current stand by list and/or, the first ones on coach 5 if its being ran thefatcontroller – 2 seats castle douglas mcfc – 3 seats DoubleSC – 2 seats scot scotland scottish – 2 seats Its likely I'll know early to middle next week and I'll share the answer then - as I've said, if it doesn't happen, the above is the order I'll be offering any spare seats. Paul
  21. Guys, have you considered the Booze Cruise? I only suggest cause the deal also includes return match transfer - Link here Summary of the trip: LA are organizing a two and a half hour boat trip round the north of Malta on the day of the Italy game at the end of May. This trip also includes transfers to and from the game itself. All proceeds from the trip will go to the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal. The proposed itinerary is as follows Pick up at 2pm in St Julians at the Burger King. Bus transfer to Bugibba where we will board the Hornblower party boat. Departure by boat from Bugibba Jetty at 3.00pm Cruising up the north coast of Malta there will be a commentary on what we are seeing, which will include the following - the elephants head, - Santa Maria bay and the Comino hotel, - St. Nicholas Bay - the Blue Lagoon, - Crystal Lagoon, - the Santa Maria tower, - the Tuna fish farms, - the Santa Marija battery The boat will stop at the Blue Lagoon for half an hour where people may swim or take a short stroll on Comino Island. Those are the main sights obviously but we will be cruising very close to the coast so we will get a good look at everything. Arrive back in Bugibba at 5.30pm the transfers will take us to the football stadium at TaQali Departure will be at approx 6.00pm from Bugibba. It is planned to arrive at the stadium by 6.30pm. The ko is scheduled for 7.45 pm Departure from Football stadium after game approximately 10.45 - 11pm return to St. Julians Burger King. This trip also includes a limited edition souvenir badge. Under 18s are allowed on the boat. The boat will have a fully functional bar and snacks will be available. Anyone who wishes to take their own drinks and food on the boat can do so. This includes beer and wine. The price for all this fun and sunburn is £20 a head. 23. True but you need to watch on possible card and exchange charges, as most cards bill you for that. Works out best if you lift a fair bit out at once, which isn't always the best idea, in case you lose it?
  24. When there in December, I found it fairly similar for the exchange rate, with it being slightly more there - mind and take Ingurlish notes though! Just watch they don't use a different rate to the one advertised - oh and you'll get pestered by people hanging around the exchange place, claiming they'll give you a better rate if you deal with them!
