My thoughts exactly. I genuinely would have had no problem if staged sales had been set from the outset but I would be bloody angry after today’s fiasco if they changed the process too.
Unfortunately I feel they may be considering this.

Why would they consider this? It wasn’t what caused the problem in the first place. They (and UEFA) will also be wanting to conclude the sale as quickly as possible rather than dragging it out any longer than necessary.

I'm fed up with the closed shop of SSC members who have points that lets them garner more points.

So fine, if those with > 12 points  want early access, let them have it, but only to the Cat 1 & 2 seats.

As for the the access codes. Wish I put a bet on yesterday when I said: the SFA/SSC will mess it up.

To be fair they probably offshored the IT to India & there was a cyclone there yesterday that took power out & some UK banking systems, offline, last night.

I’m not sure you grasp the concept of a loyalty system.

I think the only fair way to solve this is to offer everyone over 12 points a ticket at the average price (£210 for Munich, probably half this for the other games) in a 48-hour window next week; that way nobody needs to take any more unpaid leave, reschedule any meetings or take another sickie - we just buy a ticket when convenient. This would also make it easier to link bookings making sure groups and families were seated together.

    What about the 11 pointers?

As I understood it (I could be wrong) UEFA were opening up the ticket portal for a day for each association to stagger the web traffic. Did another association go before us and was it OK for them ? Also if this is right does it mean there is only a limited window of today for them to get this sorted, Surely this would have been tested to the nth degree? IT's not just one error i.e. the release of codes to those with <12 points but getting the dates and days wrong for two out of three matches is just embarrassing - surely someone reviewed this before it was launched ?

There is no problem with the UEFA website. Just SFA incompetence (or a system issue if you choose to believe them)

Who among us can honestly be surprised! The SFA are good for just that! 🙈

I am certainly not surprised but you’d think they’d have made sure they got this right.

Whoever made the decision to send the codes out 90 (originally 60) minutes before the start of the sale needs their baws booted.

If they had sent them out yesterday the balls up should have been identified then and they might have had time to fix it before noon today.

Right when I click on the link from the SFA email to access the portal this comes up.

    AUTHENTICATION IN PROGRESS

It looks like the email address for your UEFA.COM account is already in use. You can link your account to the correct ID after login.

By associating your UEFA.COM account with the existing identifier, you will enjoy greater flexibility with your next connections.

when I put in my password it says password is wrong, have reset about 3 times to new password but getting the same everytime, any ideas, cheers

My only idea is why on earth you have waited until today to sort your UEFA login? You are lucky the sale has been delayed.

I've got 11 points and received email with 3 x access codes (one for each match).

My two sons also have 11 points but no emails received.

I emailed SSC yesterday as I wasnt convinced the email set up will work and was advised that:-

If you share an email address with another member, the codes will go to the one email address. The email will indicate which Access Codes belong to which supporter.

Does it say when you can use your codes?

God forbid they should have to experience any hassle.Membership fees???

Everyone pays membership fees though not just those who have 32 points. The SSC are unlikely to bend over backwards to suit a small group of people when they are already providing the service they said they would.

As I have said previously I wouldn’t have a problem if they staggered the sale further (it would probably help me get a cheaper ticket as I have more than 12 points) but all the points system is designed to do is ensure those eligible can get tickets not for those on higher points to hoover up all the cheap tickets.

From a club point of view, those with the most loyalty points get a choice of the best seats for a semi or final at Hampden before the loyalty threshold drops.

They could have said 18+ points at 12pm then 12+ points at 8pm or something rather than a lunchtime free for all.

They could have done that but it would have been more hassle than they were probably willing to put up with.

As I mentioned earlier the loyalty system is set up to ensure those who attend the most games can get first access to tickets not first access to the cheapest tickets.

I wouldn’t have had an issue if they had done it the way you suggested but I also don’t have a problem with the way it has been done as it is the way it has always been done.

Read on FB (take with a pinch of salt) that they are being sent out Wednesday AM.

Well into the whites of the eye territory.

Something on Facebook turns out to be accurate? There’s a first time for everything.

It is but like everything we’ve been slowly shifted to accept it.

Im going to Cardiff for the rugby and an OK ticket £115. Which is scandalous. I think my first ever game in Cardiff in 1996 was £13!

    €195 is £170. Not that big a leap from £115 to £170.

What choice do we have? If you don’t pay the asking price for these things then someone else will.

I think we can all agree that no game of football (except maybe Scotland in the World Cup final 😂) is worth €600 or even €400. I can guarantee you the game will be a sell out though so UEFA will say the pricing was reasonable.

I’m nowhere near the top of the points table these days. But their loyalty should be rewarded, I know that some will disagree, but many high pointers simply won’t be able to afford or justify paying 400 let alone 600 Euros. It’s just wrong.

I don’t necessarily disagree but it’s not something that is normally considered.

Whether having more loyalty points should entitle someone to first go at cheaper tickets is debatable but it’s not how it normally works. The SFA alway base the sales schedule on how many tickets are an available and open the sale to the number of members accordingly and don’t take the price into consideration. Admittedly there isn’t normally such a difference between the cheapest and most expensive tickets.

The vast majority (if not everyone who wants one) of 32-12 pointers will get a ticket for the Germany game for €195 tomorrow.

Maybe it’s something the SFA will consider if we continue to qualify regularly?

  13. 1 hour ago, Sempre said:

If my maths is correct, more than 70% of Scotland fans in the sale tomorrow will be paying a minimum of €195 for a ticket for the Germany game.

47% will pay a minimum of €400 for a Germany ticket, and over 10% will have to pay €600.

I think it’s closer to 36% who will pay a minimum of €400 but admittedly maths isn’t my strong suit.

Guaranteed plenty won’t get their email till well after 12 . They’ve said they’re doing them in one large dump , so unlikely it’ll go smoothly

They sent them out the day before last time. Not sure why they wouldn’t do the same for this one.

I mentioned earlier that the website was down last night so I wonder if they originally meant to send them out today but have had system problems which has delayed it until tomorrow? I suspect we’ll never know.

If they always planned on sending the emails an hour before the sale going live and there is a delay for some people the SFA will have some explaining to do.

  15. 49 minutes ago, thesaint said:

Yes because i suggest anybody who would happily pay 400 or 600 euros belongs in a rubber room to be honest. 😂

€600 isn’t a lot of money to some people. It will price a lot of people who can’t get cheaper tickets out of going right enough which is really not in the spirit of football.

The opening game will sell out easily though so UEFA will claim the pricing is fair.

  16. 7 minutes ago, kumnio said:

Seems ridiculous that a 12 pointer will possibly be able to buy a cheap ticket, and a 32 pointer will miss out on it.

It should have been done in smaller groupings IMO.

Loyalty points are to guarantee tickets not cheaper tickets. Your point is valid to be fair but UEFA will want the tickets shifted as quickly as possible so I doubt the SFA has much of a choice.

Cat 1 and 2 are a disgrace. Even if i could afford it i couldn't force myself to. pay 400 or 600 euros for a football match. Even the 190 euros is borderline. Dissapointed that there are not more lower price tickets. Got a feeling the tartan army will be well represented in the Munich fan zone.

The SSC allocation will sell out easily enough and the Munich fan zone will also be full of Scots.

There will be lots of people on 11 and 10 points who will happily (well happily might be a bit strong 😂) pay €400 or €600 for a ticket for the Germany game.
