we cannot afford not to get out of the group stages, I believe we possibly hold a record in that respect.

Correct. We are the only country to have played at three Euros and not got out of our group once.

(We are also the only country to have played at eight World Cups and never got further than the first round).

Replacement for me would be Ryan Fraser.

Even if the squad size stays at 23, I think Ferguson being out has nailed Fraser's place.

    Has anything really changed though?

Yeaterday, if rangers win all their games, they’ll win the league.

Today, if Rangers win all their games, they’ll win the league.

True, but they can't afford to draw at Parkhead now.

Well played County, a historic win.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I'm hoping UEFA announce the 26 man squad decision, will allow a bit of wiggle room for players who We or Clarke will select

I'm a bit torn on that one. Yes we can get some potentials into the squad, but it also gives our opponents a larger pool of possibly better quality to pick from.

Got three of our starting eleven out with ACL injuries. These type of injuries seem to be worryingly common in the woman's game for some reason. Typical though that we end up with injuries to players from Real Madrid, AC Milan and Man City!

Actually heard a feature on ACL injuries on the radio this week....

I was looking forward to this match actually.. Should have been played last week, but we all know why it wasn't... Typical Scottish football helping out the rangers before they play Celtic....

Dundee were using Celtic's pitch covers, lobby your club to buy better ones.

Whilst others are on an upward trajectory the life has been sucked out of ours.  We usually have a bus from the girls team going and there's usually a scramble for a place on the bus but they couldn't even half fill it this time so had to cancel.

Had a great chance to kick on after qualifying for a couple of tournaments but seem to have fucked it right up and for once don't really blame the SFA maybe apart from being too loyal to Pedro.

The fact it's harder not to get a playoff than qualify for them makes this group a bit bobbins. Hopefully interest will pick up once the next phase is reached.

  8. Almost 33,000 at the Aviva in Dublin tonight for Ireland v England, yet just 3000 fans were rattling around Hampden (can't be too critical as I didn't even bother to use my SSC freebie).

I honestly don't know why Hibs and Hearts do this to themselves and why the SFA allow it.

There is simple solution when facing one of the OF at hampden.

    1. 50/50 split is agreed at the start

    2. The NOn OF team is given a deadline to sell their allocation

    3. They sell each section on at a time

    4. If the deadline date is reached and the Non OF side have not sold their allocation, their remaining tickets go to the OF club.

    Its not rocket surgery

The problem is segregating Hampden. Would probably mean having to sell the North Stand allocation last, and that's where most fans want to go.

We joined the EU (EC) in 1973, anyone 50 yrs of age and over is old enough to have been alive then. To a lot of people there is absolutely nothing risky to go back to those halcyon days of blue passports, imperial measurements , a thriving NHS and none of those johnny foreigners. There is no risk. Neither is Brexit a risk to their pensions or currency, or ability to see Eastenders and Coronation St.

Lets not pretend that Brexit was sold on a modern robust economic argument.

By the same token, for many of those who grew up before the 1970s, the idea of Scottish independence was very much a fringe political concept.

Nobody under 30 is going to really be able to remember Scotland not having its own devolved parliament, that's a big generational shift.

Not too sure what this other match you are all chatting about here was but as my above reply to vanderark14 the main event this weekend was Stenhousmuir FC being crowned League Two Champions. It's been a fine season from the squad, highlighted by a 12 match winning streak which enabled us to meander our way to being confirmed as champs with four games to play. Full credit to Gary Naysmith, Brown Ferguson and the players along with everyone else at the club. The first league trophy in our 140 year history. Remarkable. Looking forward to next season in League One.

I guess I'll let you get back to debating the big Premiership match now 👍

Congratulations to Stenny. A great old club, hopefully not 140 years until the next silverware 👏

  12. I think you can argue either way about Rangers' penalty, as mentioned above in this day and age it probably is one. I don't think there can be many complaints about the officiating yesterday.

What is undeniable is that Fabio Silva is an embarrassment to the profession.
