  1. were we a nation before ?

    gstq then?

I couldn't answer this one any better than Lamia has below:

We have just voted not to be a country and you think this isn't relevant to a decision about international football which is about countries playing counties Hmmm really?

  2. and?

scotland supporters or yes voters sung fos prior to the referendum when scotland as you put it wasnt a country, still isnt so why not sing it now?

Because we've had the chance to be be a nation again and shat it.

    That changes everything.

  3. It might make people feel better, and help you understand NO voters, if you defined yourself by something other than your nationality. Slip the metaphorical saltire from your shoulders, at least for a while, and just be yourself.

Here are the words of a very wise man:

'Nationalism is a cheap instinct and a dangerous tool. Take away from any country what it owes to other countries; and then be proud of of it if you can.

In a poor country, patriotism is to believe that one's country would be the best if it were rich and powerful. In a rich one patriotism is to believe one's country is the best because it is rich and powerful. So patriotism becomes the desire to get what others have or to keep others from getting what one has. In short, it is an aspect of conservatism; of animal envy and animal selfishness.'

I didn't vote Yes through patriotism. I voted Yes due to inequality.
  4. Finally...we seem to have found the right combination.

I think that 99.5% of Dons fans would have said that playing Goodwillie and Rooney together was the way to go. Belatedly, McInnes seems to have realised the same thing.

Goodwillie is getting better by the game, Rooney can't stop scoring.

Good news....wee teams like Hamilton and United won't keep on getting lucky forever. It's a marathon, not a sprint.... :ok:

Goodie was excellent, there's still the player Utd sold to Blackburn in there. Extending his deal should certainly be on mcinnes' agenda.

    Missed Jack in midfield.

Robson is done. I was bemused that he played before Low and the 90 minutes only reinforced my views.
