The people who have actually lost the most are Care Home residents but no one gives a stuff cos they are old and " have had their lives".

Who doesn't give a stuff? You've just attributed that attitude to everyone. I doesn't actually exist outside your own mind.

But they have been locked up, banned from leaving to home and banned from seeing family or having any visitors for over a year. Some have been allowed very limited visits at periods within that but in some cases not at all and many have died having seen no one in over a year.

Yup. Desperately sad. The whole of society however has been focussed on doing things to protect them. They, unfortunately for them, are the ones who're most at risk to COVID. They're the ones who really needed protecting.

No one can actually seem to put themselves in that situation but just give it a go......

I do that every other day when I help go care for my elderly relatives who live in sheltered housing and have barely left the house in a year.

I lost why mum at the start of April. We lost over a year together and now that restrictions are easily it is too late. That isn't how your life should end.

    I'm sorry for your loss.

I suspect that in that case there would be legal challenges and that the Electoral Commission might get involved.   The "Labour" Party is actually two separate parties, there is the Labour Party and the Co-operative Party.  They are separate entities but have had an electoral pact for the best part of 100 years.   For example Johann Lamont, James Kelly, Rhoda Grant, Neil Bibby, David Stewart and Claudia Beamish are Co-operative Party MSPs.

In 1999, there was some suggestion that they might do similar and the Labour Party would contest constituencies and teh Co-operative Party would contest the list, so they'd maximise their seats.  It was ruled that if they did that, they would have to be considered as one party for list allocations, which is how it happens.

Now clearly there is not the same level of concerted co-operation between say the SNP and Alba, but if the SNP were to go into a similar sort of even unofficial pact I suspect it would be considered as an unlawful attempt to game the system.

I'm not suggesting a pact or anything of the sort. Merely questioning why Iain was annoyed at Alba for costing Indy list seats but not at the SNP who're costing much more Indy list seats.

On sale in midway through 2019. They had 27,000 to sell for each Hampden match and sold them all.

We don’t know how many were returned though. Maybe a lot after the 2020 postponement.

I'm not sure how you know either how many they had on public sale or that they sold out. If they did sell out, it was very late as there was plenty availability for all Hampden games right through the final resale window.

Not sure exactly, if you took all the SNP 2nd votes and gave them all to another party then possibly 4. But the SNP are standing on the list so it's a bit irrelevant. The problem here is Alba standing could be the difference between 2 independence supporting msp's or 2 unionist supporting msp's. A difference of 4 over the other side.

I fully understand giving the 2nd vote to another party in certain areas and hope people do it but in Highland it is a different situation because the 2 Northern Isle seats will go Lib Dem again.

But Alba are standing on the list, so what you're saying is irrelevant too...

Why is Alba standing on the list & potentially resulting in less Indy MSPs out of order but the SNP doing it okay?

The SNP aren't entitled to any pro-Indy voters vote, especially given their actual ambivalence to independence

I don't think Alba will register in Highlands at all and that is an area where they will harm the pro independence vote and shouldn't have stood there. Obviously if all SNP 2nd votes went to them it would make a difference but that is never going to happen.

In 2011 the SNP won 6/8 constituencies but still got 3 extra list seats with 47.5% of the list vote.

In 2016 the SNP again won 6/8 constituencies but only got 1 list seat with 39.7% of the list vote. Green got 7.2% and 1 seat meaning 1 more Tory was elected.

This is where Alba could damage the pro independence vote. If they take  a few percentage of the SNP 2nd vote then it could mean 0 SNP list seats another unionist elected, meaning 2 more compared to 2011. A slightly bigger SNP 2nd vote though could return a 2nd SNP list seat as well as returning a Green, matching up with 2011's 3 independence supporting list seats. Alba could mess this all up and aid the unionists with a couple of extra seats.

How many pro-Indy seats would there be if the SNP didn't stand on the list and their votes went to the other Indy parties?

    Fag packet maths.

    12500 seats

    2/3K for SSC

1000 for UEFA / politicians / delegates / Hospitality etc..

    I know uefa sold 27,000 - I’d say 33% were returned.

18000 down to under 8500 so near enough 60% cancelled I would say.

My concern is I have a €50 ticket for both home matches. The cynic says they’ll cancel mine before they cancel the €150 ticket holders.

How do you "know" uefa sold 27k? I've never seen that confirmed at all. I didn't even think that many were on sale & im pretty sure whatever was on public sale didn't sell out.

Yeah I get that but I still sympathise with people who’ve been in lockdown for months on end. It’s not natural and we’ve all probably not stuck to the guidelines at some stage.

Indeed. Especially when the people who've given up most during the entirety of this (young people), are the ones who the "working from home" middle aged professionals & OAP's are having a pop at.

Little wonder some young people will give up with all the restrictions then. They're the ones least likely to be impacted health wise yet have been most impacted financially, yet are the ones being blamed?

There was an option for fans in the knockout stages to have tickets automatically purchased for them as they wouldn’t know which stadium or country they were playing in.

Any tickets that were agreed for this option have been cancelled.

All group tickets purchased remain valid until the ballot cancels circa 60% of these.

Where you getting your 60% figure from?

That’s the thing, no-one knows for sure how many tickets UEFA have sold.
I have tickets from the UEFA ballot too (for me and the laddie) for both Hampden games.

I also have enough points to guarantee SSC tickets but my laddie will be borderline, so do we risk cancelling our UEFA tickets in the hope that his SSC points will be enough, or do we risk NOT cancelling our UEFA tickets but lose them in the ballot anyway? By then though, the SSC window may be closed. Until we know the timings of the windows etc, everything is up in the air.

    Thanks.

Nae chance such a huge figure from the carry on with him and Tonev was going to be able to work with him.

There was Nae chance he was going to be at Aberdeen next season anyway.

Behave yirsel. I am just loving Scott Brown going to Aberdeen. He is hated by every sheep on this board. He will boss Aberdeen, the main man. He has earned it. He is a Scottish legend. He has been the King of Scottish football the last 15 year.. Enjoy having such a class act at your wee club..

Posts like this are probably why you're a joke figure and have the respect of no one on here. A total penis of a man.

I don’t think Campbell will ever be good enough and Mclennans 2nd touch is normally a tackle, if he hasnt already fallen to the ground looking for a free kick.

Fair enough. I don't think we've seen enough of either to be casting them aside. If we were signing a player who'd done what McLennan has at international level, we'd all be very excited.

Both have ability IMO but need a run of games and confidence shown in them in order to develop.

The coaching staff are part of the problem, so should be out the door too.

After his comments on Saturday, I'd potentially agree on Sheerin. As far as I understand, Robson had the under 18's playing good stuff and developing well prior to the league stoppage.

Mcgeoch has either been injured, or not really shown anything that he can do either.

He's been underwhelming to date but I think we've seen enough of him in the past to know he can be good enough.

A mass clear out is needed

Yup and it's coming. 9 out of contract plus 4 loans ending. A great opportunity for us to improve, while retaining our best players (Lewis, Ferguson, , Hedges, McCrorie).

and mindsets need changing at Pittodrie. Too many are in a comfort zone created by mcinnes. The youngsters need to be given confidence.

Yup. McInnes filled our squad with expensive journeyman back-ups like Ojo, main and McGinn. Taking serious wages while also blocking paths of progression for our young players.

That needs to change. Our budget can be better used by investing more in the first XI and utilising our young players to fill our bench and fill-in when injuries and suspensions occur.

    Thanks admin.

    Let’s try again.

New direction to be taken for Aberdeen hopefully, serious backing from the board required.

New coaching staff and in my opinion, the list of outgoings is at least this.

    Sheerin
    Robson
    Simpson
    Logan
    Hayes
    McLennan
    Campbell
    Hornby
    Hendry
    McGinn
    Mcgeoch

That’s almost a whole team needing shipped out, lot of work to do before next season.

Bizarre list of people to go IMO. Campbell & McLennan are both young players who need faith shown in them and a run in the team, while McGeouch is definitely good enough.

Hornby and Hendry are loan players who'll be away in the summer regardless

Sheerin, Robson and simmie will go back to their regular jobs.

Anyway, very underwhelmed by this and concerned with the entire process (or lack of) behind the appointment.

The rumoured additions of Brown and Allan Russell are more positive, so hopefully they are confirmed soon.

I’ve just listened to the BBC Sportsound Podcast from last night. It just confined that people involved in football are self serving, pig ignorant, blinkered, fuckers.

The defence of McInnes was pathetic, every single excuse was used, all to defend one of their wee pals. Levein, Dodds, Faddy and McCall would have been as well sitting in the corner, saying we are right, you lot are always wrong.

The media in this country is dumbed down nonsense, and always clap happy pish.

Spot on. I stopped listening to Sportsound through the week about 18 months. It's absolutely brutal. Clowns like the ones you mentioned on night after night & presented by clown in chief kenny McIntyre. Almost every guest spouts bland, mind-numbing drivel.
