No I wouldn't feel aggrieved because the decision has been explained and justified. You've admitted yourself, aberdeen have a case. IMO rangers do night. The incidents are chalk and cheese

Which brings us back to the question of why was no mention made of the offside at the time if that was the reason for not awarding the penalty? My understanding isn’t that Rangers aren’t debating whether it was a penalty or not, they are seeking clarification on the award of the offside decision and where it arrived in the process given it wasn’t mentioned till nearly 30 minutes after the incident. You surely have to admit that the officials dealt with it at the time was ludicrous and leaves them open to all sorts of questioning. To add further confusion, the screen at Parkhead said “Penalty Check” but if the check was actually for Offisde then why not say that? And I’m pretty  sure the game restarted with a goal kick when the only options would have been either penalty or free kick at the edge of the box where the offside happened?! It’s a complete clusterfuck and I fully understand why we’re challenging it and would encourage  other clubs to the same when faced with similar.

The penalty claim by rangers during the old firm has been cleared up, there is no debate required. Rangers player offside therefore no penalty. There is no need to fire out statements whilst hauling sky sport into the mix.

Now let's look at the penalty incident in the league cup final. The aberdeen defender has his Jersey pulled which stops him from making a run for the ball - no penalty. This completely goes against penalties we've seem given to rangers lately. Rangers have zero right to feel aggrieved, aberdeen do.

So you're telling me that if Aberdeen had been denied a penalty by being told some 30 minutes after the incident that it was due to an offside that was never mentioned at the time that you'd be completely OK with that? Given you're still griping about the one in the final (and I think you've got a case btw) you'll forgive me if I don't believe you.

And if the end game of this is that we end up with greater transparency from officials and it results in Rangers suffering and all these supposed wrongs being righted then surely that's an end result that is good for the game and something you'd be encouraging?

Good to see rangers fans on board with transparency although I suspect many are not thinking how this will also bite them in the ass considering Rangers have been on the lucky end of loads of decisions lately.

I'm on board with anything that improves the overall standard of officiating we've (Scottish football) been subjected to in recent times.

Witness for the Prosecution is on BBC2 at 2.30

The greatest courtroom drama film of all time with a bigger twist than Mo Johnston signing for Rangers

That big a twist that they made an announcement at the end of it so film goers wouldnt blab to those waiting on the next showing !

I listen to a few film podcasts and had randomly heard this mentioned on a few of them recently and thought I'll need to check it out.  Annoyed I missed it today.  Bloody work!

  5. We went to a thing at the O2 a couple of weeks ago called Manc It Up.  All tribute acts for Manchester bands.  We missed the Courteeners, Smith and Seahorses ones the 3 we did see - Happy Mondaze, Complete Stone Roses and Definitely Oasis were all tremendous.  A great night out with the lads for a few beers and to sing a long to some brilliant songs!

You have to worry for Roofes career. Can only see him being offered a pay as you play deal whetever he goes next and his body doesnt seem capable of staying fit for some reason.

The challenge on Lundstum was as clear a red as you will see. The ref was 10 yards away, looking strqight at it. How he only thought it was a yellow should be a worry for his ability.

Thought Rangers lacked creativety / movement in the final 3rd. Something they have struggled with for years.

Im a source of laughter for my Rangers supporting mates now but I still think Lammers could be a good player. He seems to have all the attributes except pace. He has brilliant feet and can spot a pass etc however he just seems to have no quickness of the mind. He consistently does the technical part of action really well like a side step etc but then instead of getting the pass or shot away he takes ages as if he is still to decide what happens next and then he gets tackled or blocked. Not sure if thats something that can be coached or if he is just that way now.

Lammers pass completion rate must be in single digits.  The amount of time he gives the ball away is criminal and I'd be bringing Lowry back (if possible) and playing him ahead of Lammers every day of the week.

    32 teams, I think.

Even Celtic might get an invite to that? 🤣 🤣

There was a chance Rangers would have been included due to an early proposed criteria where it involved a teams contribution to their countries coefficient over the last X years and it was limited to one team per country however they are now going with a similar criteria but only on coefficient points earned in the CL.

Sterling and Lundstram bossed the midfield as well which left Shinnie just booting any Rangers player he could out of frustration. Couldn't understand why we were panicking at the end and  hoofing the ball upfield though. The was risky. Thought Cantwell was excellent second half.

Our game management at in the closing stages yesterday and also against Betis is something Clement definitely needs to address.  We don't seem to have a lot of composure in those situations.

  9. Pretty disappointing game but the better team won in the end. I was worried how we’d handle Miovski after last time but Balogun was excellent and I thought Lundstram had a good game too. And Tav did what Tav does, the guy is unbelievable.  And I can’t believe in that big stramash at the end Devlin didn’t get booked which cost me £290!! 😂

Been OK since he came back from injury but I'd be surprised they'd want him for any reason other than home grown quotas.

I’m pretty sure that’s why we signed Scott Wright. I’m guessing if we sign him he’d take Ryan Jack’s place in the squad as I assume he won’t be offered a new contract. Might end up back at Aberdeen….

Have you seen the Watkins elbow, if so do you think it strange that var didn’t think Watkins elbow deserved a red card?

I’ve seen it and I think it was 100% a red card and I think it’s a disgrace VAR didn’t think the same. Doesn’t mean it’s “anti Aberdeen bias” though. Since VAR came in every single team has been on the end of bad decisions (except Rangers etc etc…). Granted this is up there with the worst of them but to genuinely think it’s bias against your team is paranoid nonsense.
