  1. I know this could be unpopular but I genuinely don't think you can get away from the fact that Lennon's background as a Northern Irish Catholic is a major player in all this. Yes, he is clearly passionate, sometimes aggressively so, but so are plenty others. It is a thing that's always there, a dam waiting to burst in certain supports, and when he shows his passions, it erupts (mixing my metaphors). No, not everyone who gets wound up by him is an anti-Catholic bigot, clearly not, but it's there looming large as an issue. It needs called out, this is an opportunity to properly tackle this.

Really? Celtic's defence looked as dodgy as Kyle Lafferty's hair until Boyata came back into the team. Gordon may well have more clean sheets but according to everyone and their wife Rangers are nowhere near as good as Celtic. The defence protecting Gordon, marshalled by Boyata, is the main reason for his clean sheets.

McGregor is a bit of a nutter sometimes, but is in the form of his life just now.

Currently he is significantly better than Gordon. It may not last but right now, he's our best keeper.

If you look again at what I wrote, I agree right now he’s better! I’m simply saying I strongly disagree that McGregor is a significantly better keeper than Gordon. I think they are both good, right now McGregor deserves the nod.

He shouldn't. He's a far better keeper than Gordon.

I agree he's the man in possession, has done nothing wrong, is performing well and should therefore start. Your second sentence, however, is silly.

  4. This could maybe go in the travel section but it might fit in here too. Anyone used Viagogo for tickets? I was a bit naive and used them for tennis tickets in Paris. Now all I'm reading is they're very dodgy. I know I paid over the odds for them and I'm resigned to that but I'm worried about them being legitimate. Anyone had any experience?

And if potentially not kosher, is there any way I can check? I physically have the tickets now, they were sent via UPS today. Is there a risk we will get turned away?

    Cheers.

Just checked, unfortunately i'd have to have bought the Masters tickets when i bought my RG tickets. There's no priority now. Apologies.

I've never been to the Paris Masters but if it is anything like RG, then you'll need to make sure you're logged on and ready to buy the very minute they go on sale.

Thanks, will keep that in mind. Appreciate your help.

  6. Hi,

Anyone any experience of buying tickets for tennis tournaments, especially Paris Masters? Missus big tennis fan and wanted to get tickets for her 40th in November. Not bought for anything like this before and don't want to get ripped off. A look online suggests public tickets not available till September but how do I ensure I can secure two then? There seem to be sites selling now but not sure of legitimacy and if too expensive. I know loads of you buy for overseas events such as this so may have tips. Help appreciated.

  7. I love seeing all this moon stuff. Read a couple of books on the 12 men who went. Sad to see them start to die off. To think that humankind has looked up to that object in the sky for hundreds of thousands of years and then these guys had the opportunity to walk on the surface. What an experience! Mankind's greatest achievement and a signifier of our potential.

Would be great to get back on topic. Can Huddersfield et al continue posting their memories and sharing the images they find and stop wasting the thread arguing with crazy folk? 😃 I was just too young to experience the excitement of watching the missions at the time.

    Great stuff.

Since January 2013 to be exact

I was at that game 24 years ago and he was talking utter shite

It was the night a team died, the night the cycle of a number of good players for Scotland getting to the end of their international careers

    Gough, McPherson, Levein, McStay, McCall

The SFA typically put a sticking plaster on it and 5 years later you could see for yourself how our talent was dwindling

In came Calderwood, Craig Burley, Tosh McKinlay, Darren Jackson

Righting the wrong involves youth development like other countries did when they realised the deterioration 24 years and 24 hours ago the same Strachan was blaming genetics and not the real reasons

    McPherson? Dave McPherson? Come on.

  9. So the wee man is two and very good at his animal identifications. Problem is, whenever he sees a gorilla on tv or in a book he insists it's a monkey. The question is, should i continue with telling him he's right and hope he understands the distinction in due course or be tough now and insist he gets it right? The missus keeps saying well done and I want to scream, "a gorilla is not a monkey, its an ape".

    Similarly with camels and dromedaries.

  10. The anti James Forrest thing is a real bandwagon-jumping thing. I get he sometimes has ineffective games. He's a winger, it's the nature of the beast. He's started the season well for Celtic. Think he is deserving of a starting slot for Scotland.

I realise im in minority but not going to hide this opinion for fear of being shot down. I'm pro Forrest and proud. So there.

  11. I have a spare ticket for Old Crow Medicine Show doing Dylan's Blonde On Blonde album Sunday night at Glasgow ABC. Was going with wife but we cant get babysitter. Would still like to go but will sell both if you want.

Clips in youtube of them doing songs from the album if you want to check 'em out.

Were last in Glasgow the week my son was born so missed them then too. Destined never to see them.

I've had mice before - twice.  I sort of expect that considering where we live.  You hear scratching in the attic, put poison down, noises stop, job done.  You never even see the wee furry bastirts - they just crawl away somewhere and die.

However, my mrs woke me the other night cos there was this almighty racket in the attic.  I keep a tub of poison up there so went up to put some out only to find it lying on its side with a big feck off hole in the lid and the contents scattered over the insulation.  I suppose the good news is that it's obviously gorged itself silly on the poison but the bad news is that things are way different from when we had mice - no droppings lying about randomly like you'd expect.  Also, the mice waited for you to poison them whereas this thing has gone searching for the stuff itself.  This makes me think I've got something much worse than mice.

Anyone experienced this?  There's no evidence at all of anything in the house living area.  When we had mice before it was in the winter so I'm amazed something's came in during the warmer weather.  Is it likely to be a rogue or some female looking to have a wee litter of ratlets?  I'm not really sure what to do - give it a few days since it's obviously eaten poison or get pest control in?

(Getting a cat is not an option.  My mrs is allergic and I fkin hate the things.)

You kill mice so no telling you.
