That would be McTominay or McGinn surely ?
Or the set-up for goal one tonight by... McGregor.

Not to be pedantic but I don’t.
I say “Gallacker” when it’s Gallacher, which is correct and I say “Gallagger” when it’s Gallagher.
Kevin “Gallacker”Bernard “Gallagger”
They are different names.
Here to help! 👍
Not to be even more pedantic but that’s not right. Gallacher is not pronounced Gallacker. Maybe if you’re English! For me, both are pronounced Gallacher.

He was tidy but was a strange substitution in terms of trying to push on and win the game.
Yeah, I thought it was strange too.

I thought McLean played well when he came on. He seems to be getting a lot of stick but I think that’s based on peoples thoughts on him and not judging him on what he did. Thought he looked good. Doubt anyone agrees though.

Where's your evidence that things will get better? Serious question.
I don’t have any. Never said I did.

Doesn’t matter if we do, it’s over already.
See, this is nonsense. Second is well within reach. Granted we’ll need to drastically improve . But there’s lots of variables if we do find some results. No reason why Israel can’t take points off Austria. We could beat Austria. We could do better against Denmark than Austria.
We were very poor. But the chat here is pish.

There’s a reason even clubs like Aberdeen, Hibs & Hearts have never signed him even when he’s been available on a free - hence why he plays for a team struggling near the bottom.
Theres no agenda, he’s done well. He’s very average and a young up and coming right back will take his place very soon - that’s the reality
He played in the Kilmarnock team that finished third. That’s quite near the top (just behind firs and second). And was arguably one of the top two or three performers in that team.

Tierney is more a threat than Robertson, I agree. But I think once it became obvious Robertson was being snuffed out down the left, that kind of gave Tierney space to break out from defence and make his marauding runs. I think this is what Clarke envisages happening. It's another attacking front. If the left wing is being nullified, Tierney's ball-carrying gives us another option. I see no need to specifically move him to left wingback. When he goes charging up the field, there's no reason why Robertson can't sit and cover.

I think two things are clear from last night:
McGinn, as our one and only goal threat, needs to play a more advanced role.
Chripper still hasn’t learned anything about football and his reliance on stats sites is not helping him.

Well we ended the half the better side but we didn't show much at all in attack. Thought Hendry di well but Hanley has to be subbed or we will be down to ten men. They love keeping the ball and are good at it too. Must do better. Get someone on for Hanley and Fraser on for Christie.
Christie is looking lovely. I sometimes wonder if I’m watching a different game.

Not a bad team, but I'd prefer a goalkeeper.
By the way your Nietzsche quote is total bollocks. Were the Romans and Vikings good people? Like it or not, Christianity was intrinsic to the development to every Western country, and is the basis of the modern day Western mentality (things like it's bad to kill someone or shag their bird). The world is a much better place because of it.
Nah, goalies are overrated. 🙃
Hey, take it up with Friedrich, I just quoted him. This not the thread for philosophical or ideological discussions though, so another time. 👍

Haha sorry, I read that back and it did sound quite dramatic. That would definitely be a competent team you've put out, I just worry about a lack of creativity.
McGregor is an above average player, and can do a good job in most midfield positions. But he is far from the best player in any of those positions. Fairly sure Notts County were in league 1 at the time, which is beneath him.
CDM: McTominay, Jack, McGinn, Armstrong > McGregor
ACM: McGinn, Armstrong, Christie, Fraser > McGregor
I know the manager doesn't see it that way, so I'm probably wasting my breath/typing, but I think McGregor should be a back up, not a first 11 player.
Disagree. It’s all about opinions. McGregor, for me, should start. Alongside McTominay.

and Armstrong who is... Armstrong.
Can't believe I'm responding, but to not rate Armstrong says a lot of your understanding of football. You get me, brother?

I think people talking about dropping McGregor are mistaken. We have very good midfield options, they offer different things. Depends how we play, who opposition are if he starts. But he is very important to the team. Jack probably better defensively, McTominay better at getting up park quickly and more of a goal threat, McGinn better forward player. But McGregor is our best at ball retention and against Serbia had obviously been tol to be more dynamic and force things (see interception that led to the goal). People saying his place should go to Armstrong are just wrong. I’m an Armstrong fan but they offer different things. Place for all of them in the squad. I think for most matches McGregor would be on my team. We’d otherwise struggle to retain possession.

As I thought Djokovic proved way too good for Medvedev. It is one thing having the talent to reach a Slam Final but then one's mental resolve and belief is put under the microscope and that is where the Russian came up short.

Totally agree.
You don't make false allegations without proof? But... if you had proof of something, to then allege something different would just be a lie, wouldn't it?

Ramy made it personal after I comment on the recent report about child abuse in Scottish football. He is no victim, he constantly attacks people when unprovoked.
I’m not the teacher, don’t you give me your excuses. Just stop doing it.

For the love of all that’s holy, can we close this thread? I realise it’ll set Big Ramy even more paranoid but it’s for the greater good.
FWIW I think the big (wee) man is undeserving of this. Yes, he’s a dafty but he’s getting accused of shite and the things aimed at him in jest are obviously being taken personally. I’ll be you’re hauners Ramy. Unfortunately I too am 5’9”.
