Were is everyone staying for this game?
We are currently booked into a place in Ludwigsburg but I would be interested in other people's destinations.

Where I am staying is just north west of Dachau by 5 to 10km.
Looks like I have been overuled by the group and we are now in Augsburg.
To be fair it seems to be a better idea and in a best western aswell so you cant go wrong.
-
Yeh defo looking to move from place to place.
Got something booked in Dachau at the moment but open to ideas.

Easyjet have just binned the Gatwick-Paphos flight on the 5th, and understand a load of other flights in last few days have also been disrupted.
We have been moved on to the Manchester flight on the 4th and put in a different hotel.
What time was your flight on the 5th mate?
I am on the flight out of gatwick on the 6th but not seen anything about cancellations as yet.

OK... Met up again with Minister. He texted Head of Georgian FA... saw reply... not decided on venue but thinks most likely Tbilisi...but cannot guarantee
everyone here says train to Batumi if it is there is best option....
some good information mate cheers for the effort

So Norway are playing Georgia in Batumi. I wonder if that means we will play there also.
I have been to Tblisi twice already so I would be hoping for Batumi. It also seems to be warm there and the city is knows as The Las Vegas of the Black Sea"
Might be a bit more difficult logistically for travel. Especially since the Kiev route has been taken out of action

Is there any chat on routes to Cyprus as yet?

Planning on cutting about in Shorts and t-shire during the day. Probably move to a hoody at night.

agree with N4
For me places like this add to the games.
Slovenia in Cejle, Serbia in Nova Sad and Slovakia in Tvarna spring to mind.
I am going for a couple of days in Antalya plenty historic stuff and pubs so all good.
-
all booked up
Edi-Antalya 14/11
Ant-Dir 16/11
Dir-Istanbul 17/11

around £270 for the flights
Bit of a pest but for a friendly but hey ho.

Agreed on this. I am looking forward to this one. I am just getting tetchy with no announcement of the venue.

Fingers crossed for Diyarbakir as this is the only reason I’ll ever visit there

Is there much appetite for this trip?
-
Its looking like Turkey is a goer has anyone else heard anything similar?
Hopefully holding out announcing it as there will be another friendly involved.

Any sources for these?
Source for the Turkey game is from their managers mouth.
The USA one is your usual TA gossip
-
The Turkish manager all but confirmed a Friendly with Turkey in November.
Heard another story of playing the USA in Abu Dhabi but that might just be a rehash of a rumour regarding us playing the USA in Chicago.

Mate who is there just now after arriving this morning, you will need a paper copy of your Vaccine Cert as you will get asked for it to get into places, but on the whole its fine and places are open.
Got a paper copy printed off. I was hoping that a picture of it would be enough.

Word I’m hearing is it’s fine. Late night opening etc.
My flight doesn’t land until 2355 on Thursday. It’s a case of immigration, taxi, check in, dump gear, then wander out for a couple of nightcaps.

Cheers mate
Yeh we are hoping for a quick turnaround myself. The Air Moldova flight was put back 1 hour so that cuts into our time over in Chisnau.
-
Is anybody aware on how the restrictions are affecting the opening times?
We dont get there till until around 10pm on Thursday and what to head out for some beers.

Tbh it's unclear, to me anyway, and although it doesn't mention Moldova specifically, it's advising downloading the PDF / Paper version again, post 1/11/21 - I just thought I'd post the link for info
The Covid Pass can be shown electronically, sent via email and printed, or as PDF and printed from the NHS App is how I understand it - I've cut and pasted the closing points of the article below
As an aside, I didn't realise Austrian Airlines only let you travel if you have the FFP2 type masks until I read it (By accident) the other day - My order arrived today, but it does make me wonder what else I'm potentially missing in order to see a football match
First and last until this calms down and becomes clearer for me I think
The copy-and-paste advice from the FCDO for all affected destinations states: “If you are travelling with a printed PDF proof of vaccination status, it must date from 1 November to ensure that the certificate can be scanned successfully.”
It is not clear if the QR code problem also applies to the paper version of the Covid Pass which can be ordered by calling 119. The FCDO has issued no advice to this effect.
I have downloaded my pass again and also getting it printed off. Similar to @Bristolhibbygoing to go for the belts and braces approach.

I downloaded a certificate back in early September. It’s says it’s valid for a year. Is this article saying it’s not valid full stop and should be downloading a new one

The Air Moldova flight back on the Saturday has also been put back an hour. Absolutely no idea what it all means but I dare say it's less likely to be a prelude to a cancellation unless they're cancelling both, which seems unlikely?
Yeh at least its not been cancelled. Maybe just a standard change for this time of year. The fact that the return one has been moved puts my mind at rest.
This however does mean 1 less hour drinking 60p pints.
