Going by the referendum they wont have any bother in banff and buchan, from what i have heard fraserburgh was 76% yes peterhead was yes, mintlaw was yes amongst other yes towns in the region... I heard fraserburgh had the highest yes vote in the country?
Think somewhere like Argyll and Bute will probably go to the Tories. Edinburgh West might be another, West Aberdeenshire and Kincardine as well. Michael Moore's seat in Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk could maybe just go to them too.
The SNP really have to watch Banff and Buchan too, the Tories made a sizeable dent in the SNP majority there in 2011.
The Tory vote will go up here in East Ren but Murphy's got a job for life here sadly. Plenty of la-di-da kunts here in Newton Mearns and elsewhere in Clarkston, Busby and Giffnock think the sun shines out of the lanky lying s .......
And there's loads of "Ma Da voted Labour and so did his Da, so I'll just vote fir them" types in Barrhead which gives Labour a healthy boost also.

Right so the solution is for yes minded people to move to the Northern isles :-)
A very high of % of non Scots have moved there from other parts of the UK (apparently).
Western Isles is still mainly native Scots and their vote was more typical of the overall result.
-
We should do all possible to connect with the isles as if we had got independence we would have had trouble from Westminster trying to keep the isles and the oil

Could the snp ever win a seat in either shetland or orkney? What was tue yes vot up there 30% ? If all yes voters voted snp would that get them close to getting a seat? Looking ahead we need to get the isles more on side as this will remove one less scare story

Axactly my thoughts, make no mistake this source of energy is the future and to rule it out completely is a mistake imo
As has already been stated by Big Dod fracking is absolutely fine with proper regulation in place. Can't stand the very ill informed media and the green anti fracking brigade talking about ridiculous stuff like Earthquakes and so on.
-
I have no problem with fraking, im not sure what the big fuss is about
-
My pick would be angus robertson who imo will be future leader of the party

Would be interesting to see if labours membership has increased

Completely agree, i see them pushing a "big gun" up north to steady the ship, regardless of how we view them they are ten times better than lamont
Scottish Labour know they're vulnerable, and the first thing they'll do is get rid off the utterly hopeless Lamont, and replace her with a 'stronger' figure like Murphy or even Brown.
If the Tories win the next GE I have a feeling that one of the above will step sideways into Scottish Labour.
Scottish Labour may be inept, hopeless, dishonest and tainted, but they won't give up.

Timing is everything, concervitive landslide next WM election, followed by a in out referendum in europe, followed by snp majority in holyrood, i think if labour are seriously damaged the chances of a yes vote are massively increased
-
People do need to chill a bit when others think differently to the majority on here its somtimes a bit unfair tbh

I have posted on here already, i stay in a small village beside fraserburgh and a no voting freind who was at the count put on that my village had lost to no by 4 votes at 12.30 am, i havr 2 problems, there are only about 20 no voting people that i know in the village (580 votes cast) and 2 i though info was not allowed to be put out before the final result... I am trying to get info to confirm it is a no vote in my village as it would be very strange if it was
-
Right i stay in a small village beside fraserburgh and during the count one BT posted on my face book that my village voted no by 4 votes,, one i though info was not allowed released until after the region had been counted and two how do you find out if this is correct that we lost the vote by 4 votes
-
A lot of people talking about joining, one small bit of comfort i got was my home town of fraserburgh polled 70% yes
