  1. If this is true I will be delighted to have played my part in his downfall!
  2. The NFL/Goodell just seem to make up their disciplinary procedures and judgements as they go along. And they have been embarrassed a few times recently, so will have to try and get this right, under a lot of scrutiny and pressure. On another note, its nice to see the Patriots reestablish their position as the NFLs most hated team after a sustained challenge from the Seahawks. And I am going to the Tennessee game in December, which will now hopefully have more riding on it than otherwise might have been the case.
  3. I always thought it was to help stop the RB fumbling, but it seems Brady was really particular about it. I still think the report is a joke, full of qualifiers that wouldnt stand up in a real court, not that any of that matters when it comes to NFL discipline. give him a 4 game ban, we'll beat the Steelers and Jags, and lose to the Bills and Cowboys. Then Brady comes back and destroys the Colts in a 'revenge' game in week 6. http://www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/n-f-l-sentences-brady-to-a-year-with-the-jets
  4. That is ridiculous. Deflation of footballs is worse than intentionally injuring players? Cool.
  5. I think Brady is guilty, but I dont think it has been proven, and the weasel worded way it is put across in the Wells report leaves room for manoeuvre on discipline. I dont understand why they didn't release detail of the discipline at the same time as the report instead of leaving Brady hanging. I sometimes wonder if Roger Goodell attended the Neil Doncaster Leadership Lecture at that university in Leeds. Anyway, I welcome the impending Garoppolo era...
  6. "It is more probable than not" Definitive stuff there. I assume he will get a ban commensurate with punching a woman unconscious in a casino.
  7. We already have the handsome back up QB position filled! I think teams are sceptical about Gregory as it is moronic to fail a drugs test that you know is coming. I'd imagine that the JETS were delighted to get Williams.
  8. Exactly!! I will know every QB in the draft between 2017 and 2027!
  9. Wow. I am flabbergasted that anyone would take that comment seriously. I fully understand the Draft process. If you can't have a bit of fun after winning the Superbowl, then what is the point! Calm down Teddy.
  10. Its nice that the Draft gives fans of the diddy teams something to get excited about.
  11. I reckon about 40. similar to Labour in 2010.
  12. Thats not the case. She was up against a guy called Iain Shepherd. There was another guy called Stephen McGhee that withdrew,
  13. If you had said possibly instead of definitely then that might be true. The Red Sox have at at least as interesting a 15 years as the Giants.
  14. To be fair Ally, if its on Wikipedia, its true.
  15. I've been to see the Red Sox quite a few times, both in Boston and Toronto. Looking to go from worst-first in the AL East this year, just like 2013. Unfortunately they have a really weak pitching rotation despite amassing an impressive hitting line up.
  16. Yeah, PSG were plucky underdogs. 1 Frenchman in their team and owned by the Qatari government. Also a horrible club in many aspects.
  17. Fitzpatrick didn't exactly flourish under Gailey (sp?) and his system in Buffalo and has just been replaced in Houston by the bang average Hoyer. He must be a one year stop gap.
  18. AFC East looks like being a bit better next year. The Pats getting a bit worse and everyone else making moves to improve.
  19. I'm sorry to see Revis go, I still think that he is the best CB in the NFL. The JETS look like having a very good defense, which is the only way to go when you are so anaemic at QB.
  20. I watched it again last month after reading this. It has aged well. http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2015/feb/10/nathan-barley-charlie-brooker-east-london-comedy
  21. Marshall is a really good player, I just hope he gets a fair shake from the NY media. The Jets have plenty of money to spend, so they'll probably get a few more big names in on Tuesday/Wednesday. They might be pushing to raise themselves up to a third place finish in the AFC East this year.
