  1. At the start of the season they won quite a few of the games without playing particularly well. They are not as good as the start suggested, but have the squad to finish second if McInnes can get them out of this rut.
  2. are Celtic fans celebrating the fact that Rangers have won the league 17 times since 1985? It's almost as if the Green Brigade are a bit dim...
  3. The Patriots easily defeated the Dolphins to move to 7-0, The Dolphins D-Line were very good, particularly Vernon, although they lost Wake to injury. They got to Brady on a regular basis, but it wasn't enough. Tannehill was abysmal, throwing awful picks and constantly dithering in the pocket, meaning he was regularly sacked. Back to earth with a bump for Dan Campbell and the Dolphins. Admittedly, going to Foxboro on a Thursday night is a tough task, but maybe beating the Titans and Texans is not actually that impressive...
  4. Yeah, the Giants always cause the Patriots problems. Lost the last 3 against them I think. Playing Denver away is a tricky proposition too, due to their defence.
  5. And its hardly the Patriots fault that they have the AFC South and NFC East on their schedule!
  6. Dont know about undefeated, but the Patriots went 13-3 last year while chucking the week 17 game. So 14 wins is not an unreasonable number, especially if Stork and Wendell are back now,
  7. Just saw the Colts touchdowns on Sky. Hilton and Moncrief dancing and posing after scoring, while their team is being humped at home by the Saints, was embarrassing. Contrast to Woodhead just handing the ball to the referee on his two TDs while losing to the Raiders.
  8. Would the JETS be the wildcard favourite at the moment? Not many contenders. Steelers once Roethlisberger comes back. Maybe Miami and San Diego. Definitely no one from the south! awful.
  9. Crazy at the end by Bowles. Doesnt take timeouts, then doesnt cover Gronkowski. Then the JETS kick a field goal down 10 with 23 secs left to cover the spread! Pats gutted out a good win, despite about 11 drops. Its harder to catch fully inflated balls, you know. JETS look decent, in with a shout of a wildcard slot. Dolphins in Foxboro on Thursday night.
  10. According to the programming guide, it is the JETS at the Patriots on first on Sunday. And with the Patriots on Thursday Night Football too, that'll be 7 of their first 8 live on Sky. Its good to be the Champs...
  11. I'm not sure when it gets announced, but it usually seems to be on the sky EPG quite early in the week. One factor that may work against this is that it'd be the 5th of the 6 Patriots games so far to be live on Sky, not sure if they have a rotational policy or not.I must admit that with all the Patriots O-line problems, the JETS are making me a bit nervous. I'm glad the game is in Foxboro.
  12. I was at the Lions game last year and was meant to hold up a white plastic bag as part of a Union Jack display. Didn't obviously...
  13. Tough start to the season for NFL fans in Chippenham!. Those teams have a combined 1-8 record.
  14. The AFC East play the NFC East and the AFC South this year, so there should be a few winnable games in there. Neither of those divisions is particularly good.
  15. Nearly had a perfect NFL Sunday, but Tennessee ruined it. The hope of a Patriots win allied to the Colts, JETS and Ravens losing almost came to fruition...
  16. I do, unless the Patriots are the main game. I think its been a great innovation.
  17. The JETS defence looks fearsome, but is that enough? Can you really have a prosperous season with Fitzpatrick at QB? No one really has so far...
  18. you're going to have to define "quite good"! Haha.
  19. Patriots in Dallas week 5. It's less daunting now with Brady, and not going against Romo and Bryant...
  20. Its the Daily Mail, therefore an unreliable source. Eerily reminiscant of Black Mirror if true though...
  21. Fantastic win for the Bills, should be a good game against the Patriots next week. As for the JETS and Dolphins, the opposition seemed to leave a lot to be desired, so will be interesting to see how they do over the next month or so. But the division has definitely become more competitive, which is good.
  22. If you get there reasonably early, there is a school bus lay-by about 200 yards past the entrance to the away end that I usually park in.
