  1. I'll be going to Easter Road next week but I think we should organise some sort of protest against ongoing FIFA corruption headed up by Sepp Blatter. Red Cards, t-shirts, a big banner, etc would get the point across that Scotland fans are great but won't support their team at any price That man and his cronies have had their fingers in the till for too long but unfortunately all big sporting events it would seem are now only going to go to countries with dubious democracies and no free press because it is these places that can mobilise the amounts of cheese required to grease the palms for votes. It makes you sick when you hear Blatter saying this is 'footballs problem' when it is in fact an age old one: greedy men who have been corrupted by ultimate power. I will be going next Friday to support Scotland as usual but will try to incorporate a say no to FIFA corruption message in to my trip to the match.
  2. Bicycle. Flat country. Quiet roads. Plenty of pubs. A bit more time needed, obviously.
  3. A hunner John Player Blacks, two bottles o' Bells, an a Barbary Ape (female), please.
  4. I found a week too short once when I was hitch-hiking through Ireland and stopped at a small town called Killala. There was ten pubs on the high street, American tourist lassies looking for the authentic Irish experience, and sports in the farmers fields. I didn't want to leave, and that was one Co. Mayo village. Ireland is great if you like pubs, music, sport, conversation and people. I like all of those things except the last one, but the porter helps with that. if you have to be around other people then an Irish boozer is a better place than any to do so. I will be leaving Glasgow on my bicycle on the Wed morning and camping on the shores of Lough Neagh that night. Cycling to Monasterboice and camping there on Thursday night. In to Dublin the next day for a couple of nights in the aforementioned boozers before turning round on Sunday after the match and repeating the trip in reverse. Anyone want to join the TA: Cycle Division, let me know.
