  1. i had same probs a week or so back but i think there was an update which solved mine, check you have the latest version.
  2. Have used a Garmin forerunner 305 for years when running...it also has cadence etc for the bike. I bought the 810 early on in the year solely for bike use..great bit of kit. If you have Garmin Express downloaded it will update to Garmin Connect where you can view your activities, it also syncs to Strava.
  3. God Charlie I was out on my bike this morning got back at 11:45, quick shower then down street, got into the Deacons at around 12:30 had a pint but it was quiet...a Chinese couple and two other bods at the bar. Enjoy the races, looks a bit cloudy at the mo.
  4. No probs...I may slip into the Deacons on Thursday lunchtime to check oot the clientele
  5. Greenguages always gets good reports, it's situated on Catherine Street, for a good value breakfast I sometimes slip into Carwardines which is at the city end of Fisherton St.
  6. Yip totally agree with that reply, been in a few Wetherspoons and Salisbury is still the worst.... in my opinion of course. There are a few eating places en route to the Catheral which has a lovely glass roofed restaurant called The Refectory.
  7. Yip reopened last week, I was in yesterday to check it out..... it has had a good clean and a lick of paint. Nipped in on passing today and the lass behind the bar said they are opening at midday Thursdays and over the weekend on a trial basis.
  8. Give me a shout when yer in the area, Chutney's the curry hoose next door is brill too.
  9. Our main boozer used to be the Deacons which sadly closed last week due to leasing problems. I have had a few beers today with Frank who own the building (he is from Barrhead) who says hopefull it will be back up and running soon, it's also near the Station. The Wyndham Arms is a Real Ale pub...home of Hopback Beers. The Winchester Gate is a place for local bands on a weekend. We stay away from the ones in the middle of the town as they are expensive catching the Cathedral/Stonehenge visitors etc.
  10. Took a work transfer in 1997 to the Salisbury area, loved the job, Salisbury pubs, eating hooses etc and indeed the weather...but now is the time to come back. House sold subject to contract so looking forward to being a Grandad for the first time
  11. Puma Pele Rio....they also had a moulded version but cannot remember the name
